’ve been a fan of Sansotei for years, and this Merivale location continues that same reliable, comforting experience I’ve come to expect. Everything here is consistently good—from the broth to the noodles to the toppings—and it matches the quality I’ve enjoyed at their Toronto locations as well.

My “home base” will always be the Sansotei on Bank Street, right next to my office building. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve slipped in during lunch for a quick bowl that resets the whole day. This Merivale spot carries that same warmth and consistency, which is why it’s so easy to recommend.

I’ll be back again soon—and I’ll remember to take some photos next time to do the bowls justice.

For the approachable price, this is a 5-star experience for sure. The same quality as the downtown location, excellently-designed space, great and speedy service.

Great ramen, but small restaurant and wait times can be long and unpredictable

Amazing restaurant that focuses solely on ramen and a tight nit menu of it's variations. The broth of the black ramen was delicious and the quick and generous service is appreciated.

Ordered Uber Eats and it took 2h to arrive. From 5pm to 7pm essentially. Cant even comment on the food at this point. That’s wild.

We had a nice dinner here. The ramen was pretty darn good, with tasty pork and silky broth, and satisfied my partner’s craving for ramen well. The portion was exactly right. The zangi fried chicken was delicious, being perfectly between crunchy and chewy. The seaweed salad was decent, but a small portion for the not-insignificant cost of $5.50. The servers were exceptionally polite and helpful with some menu notes and alerting us to some unavailable items, such as specific cuts of pork and clarifying drink types. The ice machine was also not working, which was too bad, as my soda was warmer than I would have liked. The location is inauspicious, and the decor is not inspiring. It’s a good spot to eat, but not exceptional.
