First time trying African food. Had goat suya and jollof rice. Love the flavors! I especially liked the side of moi moi. And a small sampling of chicken braii.There was no kwanga prepared to try but that's ok, it's a holiday and I was surprised you were open at all.I'll have some next time.Thanks so much to the friendly staff (and a customer) for educating me on the food and flavors...you now have a new fan of your cuisine, which I will tell my friends/family about, and I will definitely be back for more!!!

Chicken was good but the fries were burnt and tasted weird. Would not recommend ordering fries but usually the food is always delicious.

Tasty food. Loved the rice. Chicken was good also. Walk in order food then find a place to sit. Will go back to order the beef. This time had chicken. Hot sauce comes in a side container so you control the heat.Parking: Lots of places to park.

I got food from them through out good to go Omg I had a really bad experience with it. the food was terrible. It’s was really bad and small size of it. I just left it in restaurant door never brought it home.

The place might not look like much, and the back of the restaurant looks unfinished.However, the food here is fantastic. The beef suya was delicious, and full of cumin flavour. Get it with the plantains and rice.

I purchased the 1/4 chicken jollof and plantain for about $18. The salad was great - loved the dressing. The chicken was also ok - the sauce was a sweet nandos peri peri style sauce. But the jollof was not good at all. It was a strong curry flavor. It was missing a tomatoe flavor. Overall it was ok. The restaurant also smelt like strong propane- not very pleasant

I went here upon a friend's recommendation. I refer to the shop name as 'Suya Joint' rather than African Grill.Food: I ordered a side of plantains and Assorted Suya which came with 3 meats that they had available that day, in my case, it was chicken, beef, and goat. I also got to try the combo which comes with jollof rice, plantains, and salad. The combo comes with a generous amount of jollof rice.The seasoning in combination with the grill cook was like a delicious barbecue dance in your mouth. I didn't get to try the chicken but was told it is really good and is moist on the inside. The goat and beef had a chew to them but the flavours are 100%. I really enjoyed the goat meat.Service/atmosphere: The staff who took our order was courteous, gave positive customer service, and answered all my questions.There are tables for dining in, but everyone pretty much comes here to pick up, deliver, or take out. Throughout our time waiting for our food, there were customers coming in left and right.I will definitely be back again!They speak French here too.
