“Went to this new location a few times now. First time I was not impressed with the salads. One was too salty others too watery. Since then it’s been very good. Salads are much better. Employees are always friendly and accommodating when I go. I’ll definitely go back.”

“I recently hosted a large corporate dinner at Tap That and it was a perfect experience. The menu well curated and food was delicious. Everyone was super impressed about the level of service and it offers a great atmosphere. We will definitely be hiring them again for future dinners and I'll be going back for the Salmon:)”

“We ordered the mussels in a creamy garlic sauce, escargots, and calamari — everything was absolutely delicious. The surf and turf was spot on, and every dish was cooked to perfection. Nothing was overdone. Two small details would have made the experience truly exceptional: slightly less breading on the calamari, and a larger lobster tail — even at a higher price. Fantastic staff. Bathroom needs work. 😕”

“The new owners are great and make you feel welcomed right away. The old owner had her own group of friends and unless you were part of that group you were made to feel like an outsider. Any bad reviews left are very obviously left by the old owner's friends that are trying to make the new owners fail. Those people haven't succeeded in their attempts to turn people away and the Miner's is once again a great place to go just as it always was before the previous owner! Karyn and Anthony are doing amazing and if you haven't gone in to see for yourself you are truly missing out on a great time with great people and amazing food!”

“My son and I went for a drink and a donut. My son had a hot chocolate and I had a French vanilla. We both had a jelly filled donut. I prefer French vanilla from Tim Horton's but I Country Style is walking distance from my house. I expected the donut to be stale but I was pleasantly surprised.”

“Krish made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was incredibly fresh. We chose the Italian Herbs & Cheese bread with teriyaki chicken and lots of fresh veggies. The bread was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—and both the chicken and vegetables tasted fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Krish’s excellent service and this Subway to anyone looking for a light, healthy meal.”

“My spouse and I have travelled this stretch of highway many times. Each time we comment that this place must be good because it is alway busy when we pass by. Travelling from Iroquois Falls south we usually make North Bay as our stop to fuel-up and get something to eat. We are so happy that this time we made the stop in at Gilli's. What a pleasant surprise. The decor inside and out is unique to a truck stop. The food was great, soup was homemade and everything arrived to the table hot. The staff are all friendly. Our server, Lise, made our experience a special one. It was like having an old friend or a family member serve us. We were travelling with another couple and our friend likes to joke with servers and Lise was quick on the draw to deliver a zinger right back. At the end of our visit our friend thanked Lise for her exceptional service and the two laughingly hugged one another. Let me get back to the food. The portions were healthy, coffee was hot and prices were very good. A sit down home cooked meal that would cost the same, maybe less, than any fast food chain is definitely the way to go. Especially with a staff that is ready to interact with their guests. The restaurant is clean and has a select few variety store items to grab on your way out to keep you refreshed on the road. If you are travelling on Highway 11 I highly recommend making Gilli's a stop along the way.”

“The food is always delicious and prepared on time. The restaurant itself is not open for sitting but they offer takeout. Good value on the dinner for 4, and they allow substitute dishes for some variety. Must-try if you're in the area!”

“Ordered 2 meatball subs online, still had to wait 10 mins by the time I got there. Opened package in parking lot to eat it only to find a HUGE mess inside. Cheese not melted, it was barely inside the bun, sauce everywhere all over the wrapper and the meatballs were ice cold! Brought them back to a young man who just said "sorry" and wouldn't refund or replace since the manager wasn't there. Hubby called their 1800# and started to tell them what happened and they hung up! Called the local place once home (and still hungry), the manager tried making excuses why it was cold and how its safe to serve cold still. Reality is, reheated meat must be heated to a safe temp before serving to ensure no one gets sick from food bourne illness. I apparently now have a credit there I never plan to use.”

“Picked up some pizza and wings during a stopover for a fishing trip. Food was great, delivery to our hotel was not available so we picked it up. Pizza was great reheated and we enjoyed the leftovers as a treat while fishing.”

“The food is really good. If you ask for them to make everything fresh, they will do it. Service at front counter or drive through can take a while on a busy day, sometimes 10 minutes, but that was the only issue. The restaurant is clean and well lit and I can hear them call out for a wand wash often.”
