Nice quiet spot during the week for a lunch date. Clean and well lit, the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended for lunch!

Great place for a meal or just a drink. Didn't know about this place and stopped by while driving through Newcastle. The outside looked promising and we were not disappointed. We will stop again when passing through the region.

On the plus side, it was delicious, the steak was excellent.
A huge minus for the service, we stood in the sun at the entrance for 10 minutes, and each waiter smiled sweetly at us and promised to take us to the table in a couple of seconds, time passed, we waited, the waiters served other people, cleared tables, carried bills, and us? We were just waiting.
Then the waiter showed us the direction of our table, said that they did not have people greeting us and ran away.
I thought, well, it happens that such a person comes across. We ordered, ate pretty quickly, and it was really tasty. Initially, the waiter behaved incorrectly, seeing that we were foreigners, she used slang words that were difficult for us to translate to show her superiority. Delicious food distracted me from this unpleasant fact. And then they brought us the bill, and my husband, for this reason, left a tip of only $5. So the impudent girl decided to figure it out with us, why such a small tip? It looked just disgusting. I will never return.
P.s. There were a lot of free tables, when we arrived, half of the tables were empty, which is easy to check on the video. And even if you are fully booked, this is not a reason to be rude to clients and demand more tips.

Disappointing experience at Old Newcastle . My burger was undercooked, and while they offered a replacement, I declined. The staff barely apologized and only took $5 off the bill. Poor service and handling overall. Wouldn't recommend.

Do not eat here. Owner is unfriendly. The women servers are rude to the cooks openly. The atmosphere overall is terrible. I AM NOT A FAKE PERSON JUST BECAUSE YOU TREAT Your employees terribly and I’m calling you out and you don’t know who I am does not make me fake or my experience fake

This place is just as it’s referred to “the best kept secret in Newcastle”. Food here is exceptionally good, have never had a bad meal here and always great service from the wonderful staff. Hard to find. Spot that can pour a Guinness these days. Not here though. Often I drive 2 towns over just to visit here for a meal and a pint. Best wings, Shepard pie, Parmesan chicken. And so on. I highly recommend this spot!
