Great environment, staff was super friendly and made the order to perfection
Went to Chatime and honestly had a great experience. The girls working were really friendly and handled the busy rush super well. My drink came out fast and exactly how I wanted it. Really good service overall.
Ordered a milk tea with pearls online only to hear after arriving there at 8:30pm(they close at 10pm) to know they've run out of all kinds of pearls - original, brown sugar, etc. No phone call or text to give me a heads-up before heading in to pick it up. The replacement was a terrible tasting tea with some strange jelly that looked and tasted yucky...
Pearls were the reason I placed the order so was pretty disappointed. No choice offered for a refund:(
Seems management changed at this location and the current one isn't really doing a very good job.
Had to drive down a bit further again near Savage Road to get my bubble tea fix from ICE BABO!!! Highly recommended!!! Better price, better taste, local business.
I never had any problems with this location previously but having gone there recently after reading the latest reviews about the new ownership, I have to chime in.
I placed 2 orders on Uber Eats since you can currently BOGO pearl milk tea and when I went to pick it up, there was one girl working alone who was dealing with a bunch of orders and clearly felt a way about this. No issues with her, she was fine, but I had to wait a bit for my order.
When she told me it was ready, I could tell when she was bagging the drinks that the changes I made on Uber Eats weren't followed which is understandable because she had to do everything by herself and made a mistake but that's unacceptable from a management perspective. My milk tea didn't taste that great but all of the drinks had pearls (only 2 of them were supposed to) so that's a freebie I didn't pay for.
I would consider going back but honestly, I was a bit surprised my experience was similar to what new reviews are saying which means this is an issue the new owner has to figure out unless they just don't care.
Definitely not the same without the previous owners & staff members :(
We used to come to this location weekly, multiple times a week. Now the vibes are just not it. This is our first time back since grand opening, and the store looks kind of run down, didn’t feel welcoming, and some of the employees need to be trained on better customer service, coming from someone who works in customer service. I never like to complain but this makes me sad. It used to be so warm and welcoming in there and we’d be welcomed in with a smile at bare minimum. Now we barely got a hi. They didn’t even smile and if they looked at us, it felt so judgemental. The staff needs proper leadership and training. We waited quite a bit for 2 drinks with no communication. The attitude and vibes the girls gave off were not it.
My drink was made wrong so it took longer. But the guy working apologized for the wait, so that was good. Ordered a hot drink and it was barely lukewarm. This place just needs a little more love and care tbh and it would be better. The girl working at the front on Halloween displays such a careless and snarky attitude. No smile, didn’t care what we had to say, and clearly isn’t there for the customers. We were helped by her on opening day & the vibes were the same. I feel bad to post this but it’s sad to see how it’s changed. The guy working was fine, looked like he was in training, but at least he was trying.
3 stars because the drinks tasted good thankfully
Normally, I don’t go to Chatime because I’ve had some disappointing experiences in the past. When I do, I usually just stick to a simple taro smoothie. This time, I went with a family member who wanted to try the $6 mango green tea promotion.
While I was there, I asked Nikki if she could make me something warm and cozy for a cold night — specifically, a hot Thai milk tea. She mentioned she was new and wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but was willing to try. I told her I didn’t mind giving it a shot. I’ll admit, I was a little hesitant since almost $8 for a drink I might not like felt like a gamble.
What really stood out, though, was how thoughtful Nikki was. She seemed genuinely concerned that I’d be disappointed and kept checking in — which honestly made me feel that she really cared. Then she did something I’ve never had anyone do before: she poured me a sample to taste first and asked if I wanted any changes! I asked for a bit more sugar, she adjusted it, and offered me another little taste.
The final drink turned out amazing — probably the best bubble tea I’ve had in a long time. Her willingness to experiment, learn, and make sure I was happy with my order completely changed my impression of Chatime.
Thank you, Nikki! Even though it’s part of your job, the care and attention you showed made my night. If every visit was like this one, I’d definitely be a regular at Chatime again. 💜
The staff is very friendly and helpful and they always get our orders right.
Since under new ownership, this place has gone downhill. The service is not the greatest, it takes a very long time to get your order when it isnt busy. I ordered a jasmine apple bloom and added tapioca, they didnt include the crystal Boba (if i am paying a premium price, I should be getting the premium topping). The tapioca tasted like it was burnt (have not come across this before) and there were black pieces of what could be burnt fragments the drink? I would rather drive a bit further to Aurora. The times I have tried this location, there is always something.
Amazing service, went last night and 3 girls were working, they were so friendly and respectful!! Drinks were made quickly and they were delicious. 5 stars, definitely will be coming back to this location!!

This place is horrible under the new ownership. Just went in for two teas that took 20 minutes. Debit and credit were down because the internet wasn't working and they couldn’t figure out how to fix it. There were 3 young girls working there that couldn't have been older than 17 working by themselves. Poorly trained clearly. The machine that puts the seals on the cup ran out of seals. So one girl took it apart and had no idea how to put it back together while barking orders at the other two girls to put the drinks hot cups. And handed me straws that wouldn't even fit through the hot cup holes. So because of all this incompetence i had to wait forever for 2 drinks served in the wrong cups that don't even remotely taste like they how they used to. I’ll be driving all the way to aurora from east gwillimbury for now to spare me the trouble.
Went to get a hazelnut strawberry milk and the cashier asked if I wanted tapioca in it and I said yes and she did not put any in. She also has a bad attitude, not friendly at all. I used to love chatting but I will not be returning to this location sadly.
Forgot my friends tapioca balls when she asked him specifically if he wanted them or not. She also has a bad attitude, not friendly at all, he used to love chat time but he will not be returning to this location
this is my first time at the new location. i bought a milktea used the bathroom for 15 minutes, they started blasting music in the bathroom. so i finished up (afew minutes more) then left and noticed there was only music playing in the bathroom . i have a brain injury and if that caused me a seizure i would have filed a police report and sued
Good drink and great service!
