We came as a couple and were welcomed right away, seated right away. We had the butter chicken and another as main dishes with naan bread, rice and coffee. Everything was fresh, very delicious. As my husband likes spicy and I do not, they were able to offer extremely mild spicy level for me. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean inside. By the bar it had big tvs with music videos playing. I believe the owner came to us, and asked how the food was and it was very nice as he described how the food was made and with which ingredients. You never get this experience is other places, other staff member that worked came often to ask how everything was. I would definitely go to eat there again.

Awesome Indian food and great atmosphere. Where many places now feel cafeteria-like with bright lights and hard chairs, Dawat's has a cozy feel. Think English pub meets Indian dining. Great selection of domestic, import and craft beer on tap. Food was fresh and fantastic. Easy to find and lots of free parking (huge parking lot behind Moxies and across from Tim Hortons). Will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Lots of high -protein vegeterian options.Parking: Huge parking lot behind Moxies and across from Tim Hortons

This was an amazing experience the food was amazing as long as the drinks plus they had amazing music playing in the background while having your meal.
This restaurant was not only a delight for the food, but the service was personalized and second to none. It was incredibly fresh, with lots of suggestions from the owner. Made on-site at the time you order, it's cooked to your exact specifications. The smell of delightful spices guides your way up the porch into this century old home.Plenty of parking at the back. Southbound on Yonge turn in and continue behind Moxies, or Northbound on Yonge turn left at Millard Ave and pull in behind the Re/Max. The twinkling lights of the patio will guide you into this delight of an experience.Vegetarian options: Indian is traditionally vegetarian, get the most flavor, balance and experience from the abundance of options or customizations.Dietary restrictions: Food is made fresh to your specifications. Any allergies, intolerances or dislikes are easily accommodated.Parking: Plenty if parking behind the building, and easily walk up to the patio.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and lovely staff! The lamb was so tender, it fell off the bone and was delicious, exactly the way I liked it. Curry was very flavourful as well. Will definitely come back again!
