Extraordinarily crispy and delicious light golden battered halibut with just the most delectable English style chips. The very friendly man (owner) who took our order and served us, even offered to help me stand up after we were finished because he saw I walked with a cane.Highly, highly recommend.

Lived and raised in newmaket best fish and chips in town.

Perfect portions. Not greasy. Fish is awesome 👌. The chips are done to perfection. Definitely coming back.

Great little fish and chips place. The decor is dated and charming, it's clean, the food is good and the service is great. I was in and out in 10 minutes. The food was still hot by the time I got home. Thank you to the owners! I will be back.

The tiniest piece of Halibut I've ever seen and a handful of fries. Almost $20 dollars and cole slaw is extra. What a joke. I didn't even get a lemon wedge! Never again.

24.54 for halibut & chips plus 6 onion rings.
Menu prices were $17.23 for fish & chips and $3.98 for onion rings, and even with tax the total doesn’t quite add up. It’s not a big deal over $0.57, but there was no sign explaining a credit card fee, so it was confusing.

Portion size was small and packed tightly into a small box. Fries were disappointing — bland and not fully cooked. For take-out, it would really help if ketchup or seasoning was included, especially since the fries weren’t salted.

Fish itself was okay, but overall the experience didn’t match the price this time.

The worse fish and chips place EVER! 🤢
The portions are SMALL AND EXPENSIVE. $45 bucks for two small soggy pieces and a small plate of fries. Are you kidding me!? Literally stealing money out of your pocket. I went with my daughter for the first time, and should have walked out when I got a bad vibe. Worse part? They sell the soggy cole slaw for $3 extra lmao. Smfh. The lady only says hello and how are you to older white couples that look wealthy or well off. Terrible customer service skills. The place looks dark and moldy. The food is drenched in oil and gave me the runs/nausea. My daughtef didnt like the food at all. Please avoid this place. I'm surprised they are still running. NEVER AGAIN.

Ordered 2 Haddock fish and chips plus 2 coleslaw. Not cheap but really good - not too greasy. Uber Eats delivered quick so food was still hot.

Disappointed. I don't normally post reviews, but honestly this was not good. I went about 15 minutes before closing. Fries were cold and overcooked..probably sitting for hours and just warmed up. Fish was dry and rubbery. Service was fast but not particularly friendly. Perhaps coming just before closing wasnt a great idea, but it was not worth over 30 dollars for two pieces of fish and one order of fries. I'm being generous giving them 2 stars. I will not back.

Delicious fish and chips! If you're around the area, you should definitely try it out! I especially love the house-made vinegar coleslaw and the deep fried pineapple as dessert 😋😋
