AVOID !! ordered takeout Monday and my salmon was EXTREMELY fishy. It we likely old fish that was provided to me. 36 hours later and I am now extremely ill with food poisoning. there are so many better spots in the area!Edit for owner: appreciate the concern and that you are looking into it. I am not typically one to leave bad reviews but it was the fishiest pice of nigiri I have ever tried. I could not eat it. My order was lunch sushi combo B

Some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had. Me and my partner wanted to try Nigiri-ya since it was new to town. We took a look at reviews and the menu online with the accompanied pictures so we knew what to expect.The service was really nice and fast. We were served miso soup and salad and those were fine.However nothing matched the pictures online. My udon was bland hardly any toppings, and the noodles were overcooked, the shrimp tempera was undercooked and oily, the pumpkin tempera was brown and slimy looking (I didn’t bother to try and eat it). The rice in the bento was stale and didn’t taste right. The gyoza, seaweed salad, were fine. The salmon teriyaki wasn’t even teriyaki, it was a plain grilled salmon filet with sauce served on the side. The dynamite roll was just a shrimp tempera with a tiny bit of spicy sauce. My partners spicy roll combo wasn’t good either. The fish inside didn’t look fresh at all, the tuna looked dark and old and the salmon looked squishy and slimy.Instead go to pho fusion a few doors down, they have awesome Vietnamese dishes for a fraction of the price.
