Ordered online, after 2 hrs of waiting, we finally called to go pick up and they informed us it had been waiting for an uber pick up for over an hour (which is not what uber stated) they wanted us to pay and await our money back from Uber ALTHO a pick up would have decreased the price significantly as they offer Buy 1 get one 50% off. Long story short, left with no food after ordering over 2 hrs prior and the whole placed reeked of weed (we ordered from work) Wont order again after years of ordering from them.

I have been coming to take sushi for years. My order was well known to the previous owners. I decided to order via uber tonight and was SO disappointed. I ordered what I thought was a spicy, flavourful noodle soup (“Ramyun”) and the shrimp tempura roll … the soup is not at all what I normally ordered.. the broth has zero flavour, it was lukewarm and the ingredients are different. I also ordered the spicy shrimp tempura roll - it came dry and sticky and usually has spicy mayo drizzle but there was none.. I am extremely disappointed with the entire order. So sad when the previous owners made such delicious food.
This was once the best place it newmarket. The food now is cheap and lazy.

I have been ordering from take sushi for years. Hands down was my favourite sushi place. Fresh, amazing flavour, good portion size. I order here a few times a month. The past few times, the sushi had no flavour, rolls were tiny with barely anything in them, and the recipes were different. I decided to call to ask if they changed owners and they have. The new owners must be cheaping out and the rolls are terrible. I would prefer grocery store sushi to be honest. For anyone who loves this place like I do, sadly it’s not the same. The photo I added to this review shows how little is in the roll. The spicy tuna just had a slab of tuna in it with a pound of sloppy mayo on top.

The place that I usually order sushi on Main Street was closed my daughter-in-law and I went to Ta•ke on May 21.We ordered the 100 pc sushi & sashimi platter, and the sashimi combination, for my son and grandson birthday dinner. We are very impressed with the presentation and the taste of the sushi, my whole family completely loved it, the platters were completely polished off no left overs. I’ll be coming back here more often now, plus parking space is accessible which is a bonus for me.
