My partner and I decided to try something new on Saturday evening and the Suya Spot did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the staff’s hospitality was incredibly warm and welcoming. They were also really helpful with taking the initiative to explain what the dishes were before we could even ask, which was super convenient since we were starving when we stepped foot inside the restaurant. The music set the perfect vibe and the food was absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to come back.

We got the beef suya, jollof rice, fried plantain, egusi soup and pounded yam. Everything was so good. Beef suya and jollof rice was our favourite. Owner is very nice and good with his recommendations

Suya Spot Newmarket is a hidden gem! Their fried yam is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside. The goat suya is full of flavor, tender, and seasoned just right. You can really taste the care they put into every dish. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic and delicious suya!

The customer service, food and artwork gave a really comforting feeling.

I got the beef suya yam combo and ogbono soup(I ate it so fast I couldn’t take a picture of it) and wish I lived closer to the restaurant to get it everyday. I will definitely be bringing my business back soon.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! It was my partner and I’s first time trying west African food and we are absolutely adding this to our monthly restaurant rotation! The art was amazing, the music was amazing, and the food was amazing. 10/10

This place is an awesome! The art gallery is filled with breathtaking paintings that not only captivate the eye but also convey a deep sense of life and emotion. The artist himself is incredibly talented and welcoming, and you can truly feel his passion for his craft in every piece. As for the food—it's nothing short of spectacular! If you love bold, flavourful, and depending on your definition it may be spicy, but this spot is an absolute must-try. Whether you're dining in and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere or enjoying a cozy meal at home through Uber Eats, you're in for a treat. The customer service is impeccable, and the space itself is the perfect blend of creativity and comfort. Don't miss out—this place is a must-visit!

A restaurant/gallery. The work is vibrant and so is the food. Great friendly service for newbies to African food. It was too hot for me but that was solved with yogurt. The plantains were not hot and a huge hit at our table.
