Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 we had a small wedding dinner in their private dinning room for our daughter & son-in-law. The manager and assistant manager came to greet us and went over a few things with us before the cake was served. The staff was awesome and the food was delicious! I would recommend this restaurant and when I am back to Niagara Falls, this would be the first place I would go to eat!

The service was amazing. The ambiance was nice. The view was great! The portion sizes were good. The steak was cooked well but a little bit salty. The pasta was a little flavourless. It was a tad bit on the pricey side. But overall it was an okay experience!

The food was good, nothing amazing to write home about. The service was just alright and we felt rushed the whole time. A different server (not ours) came out all confused and gave us our main before we were even finished our apps. We are not slow eaters and the place wasn't even at half capacity so I don't know what the rush was. The best part was the atmosphere but I wouldn't rush back just for that.

Quality to price had decreased. Food no longer has the quality it used to. The lobster dip was very greasy. The French onion soup had too much sherry that all we were tasting. The salad was good and the burger was ok

Overall a very nice venue located in the Doubletree and well-appointed for a casual or more upscale night out. Food was well prepared and of good quality. Service was brisk and attentive. We would definitely come back.

Buchanan's is one of our favourite places to eat in Niagara Falls. We decided to try their Prix Fixe menu and it was amazing. My salmon was delicious and my husband's steak was cooked to perfection! The ice wine crème brûlée was so good. Service was amazing and our waitress was efficient and kind. We will return for sure!

They need to train their staff. It is not a fine dining experience. Server didn't leave us alone to eat. He was literally at our table every 5 minutes. We were trying to have an intimate conversation and he kept interrupting us. He didn't bring us silverware with our coffee/dessert. He kept trying to take unfinished food away. And tried to push alcohol on us even though we said we didn't drink. Food was only ok. A chain restaurant like the keg had better food.

Very disappointed as have been here for breakfast and food and service was great. Salad and calamari arrived at same time. The dinner came before we finished appetizers. My chicken was dry, not much filling. I probably ate half, kept thinking it would get better... We were not served bread then noticed everyone else had bread...when I mentioned to server she said she forgot!!! She offered me another meal but by then I had eaten half and my husband was finished. She also offered us bread which we declined because we were finished by then. Our bill was discounted $12.00 We used to go to Sandstone which has closed and were looking for another good spot....this was not it, won't return for dinner.

We had a great experience dinning at Buchanans. The highlight was our server who took exceptional care of us. He personally ensured our requests for modifications were fulfilled. The food was yummy and we enjoyed everything we ordered, from the beer on tap to start off the meal, to the desserts. It was everything we hoped for on a Sunday night dinner with a kid, who was fully engaged in the activity our server provided, and whose food arrived super quickly anyway, so, thank you kitchen staff! This place is a hidden gem and we look forward to dinning there again someday.Kid-friendliness: Kids get their own menu page with games and crayons but their food arrived very quickly anyway so they prioritized it.
