Had a very nice meal and company. Tables are a little close together. 3.5 out of 5. Went there for a brunch. Going back would be fine but might also look for other places too

This place has a very cosy atmosphere, it's a great place to have a quiet dinner or with a few friends. The service was very good and the server was very friendly. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu and my partner had Braised Lamb Shank. The Cordon Bleu was very juicy and tender, I was pleasantly surprise that the chicken was not too dry and salty. Definitely two thumbs up!! My partner said the shank was very tender and moist, seems like it was marinated and cooked in a slow cooker. A place to visit for fine food.

My husband and I went here for the first time, to celebrate my birthday. We were quite excited to try a different place. The ambiance was nice. It was very quiet the entire time, only us and 2 other tables. Our server (Sterling I think her name was) was ok. Told her it was our first time there, but never mentioned my birthday, (although I had added that in my reservation notes). No mention was ever made of my birthday, which was disappointing. We ordered the garlic shrimp to start. Very easy to cook….yet they came undercooked!!! I thought it was just mine, but my husband said his was as well and as we cut into the others they still had a slight grey colour! YIKES! It took the waitress a bit to come ask us how they were as she was chatting with other employees in bar area. We told her and she was shocked, saying that’s the only time that has ever happened. She quickly took them away and said they will be taken off the bill and new ones made. We then heard her telling a man near the bar that the shrimp weren’t cooked. I’m assuming he was a manager, as he then walked into the kitchen. We expected him to come over to our table and apologize, as most every restaurant we frequent does, but he went back to bar area. When the server brought the new shrimp they were VERY over cooked. Better over than under, but cooked to perfection would have been better! I mean, I myself, can cook shrimp to perfection…it’s not difficult! Also, you’d think the server would come right over to make sure these ones were cooked better, but it took her u til we were almost done to come and ask!? Then the seafood fettuccine came and was ok, although quite greasy. We didn’t get desert, as we were concerned that it would also be a letdown. We went back to our hotel and got desert there. After spending over $158 with tip, we agreed that we will never return. Niagara Falls has so many nice restaurants to try. When we mentioned the disappointment in our food to our Uber driver, he was surprised, saying he’s heard it’s really good. We will give the chef the benefit of the doubt and maybe they just had an off night? Regardless, we won’t return. We tried another new place the next night and LOVED it.

After checking all the online reviews we to have a family dinner and I must say we were not disappointed at all. From the time we walked in to the time we ate and left everything was great..good experience very courteous, very knowledgable stuff.We had crispy calamari, ceased salad as starters followed by chicken Parmesan, Mediterranean goat cheese chicken, tortellini Rose. What a wonderful meal we had at Sandstone. To start us off the calamari and shrimp, were enjoyable as well as our salads. The salmon was cooked to perfection as was the steak. To end our evening we ordered cheesecake and took it with us. We weren’t disappointed. Sterling took wonderful care of us. If you have an opportunity to have a distinguished gentleman come over to check on your meal, he’s the owner who rolls up his sleeves to help out. Thanks again.

This place... my goodness. The food was 100/10!! Everything was absolutely delicious!!! The service was very prompt and friendly. Very very attentive. The ambiance was very quiet and near Niagara Falls, about a 4 min drive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place when in the area.

So we ended up stopping in on a Sunday night. Ordered the fried goat cheese balls, which was decent if you need a snack. Lamb shank for $37.00 was totally tough and de thawed, over cooked also which is hard to accomplish. The reviews also have high reviews on the lamb. I also hade the fettuccine which was totally nuked and the pasta was half raw and tough. Drinks where also off. For $160.00 bucks I could have way better food and drinks else where. Happy staff though.

We went to this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. Our server, Montana, greeted us and congratulated us on our anniversary. She was very friendly, and answered all our questions, including her recommendations for dessert. My wife and I had a short friendly conversation after dinner and she made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. The food portion was more than enough. My wife found her penne with sausages just right in both portion and the savouriness of the sauce. We have gone to fine Italian restaurants where we found the sauce to be too thick, too thin, or too spicy. The sauce was just right for our palate. We found the price to be very reasonable for the quality of the food, and would come back to try their other dishes on the menu.

We came to Niagara Falls for our 1 year anniversary and I picked this restaurant by reviews I've read from Pinterest. Worst idea. I was looking forward to a nice dinner with my husband. Salad was extremely drenched in dressing. As I was nearing the bottom of the salad I found a dead fly probably from ingesting all that dressing. I'm 4 months pregnant and almost vomited at the sight of this on my plate. Do yourself a favor and find a restaurant with higher food quality standards. Ruined our trip on our last night.

Beautiful atmosphere, great service, and great food. A bit on the pricey side, but I think it was worth it! I had lasagna (very cheesy!) and my boyfriend had the fish and chips which he said were one of the best he's had! When I saw lava cake on the dessert menu, I had to try it. Only 8$ for the desserts, 14$ for two. The lava cake was sooooo good.Very relaxing and romantic date night!Our server Montana was awesome, so friendly!!!
Perfect lunch or dinner place away from the busy Niagara Falls crowd yet it’s still walking distance should you decide to take a walk after dinner. The food was fresh and very tasty. The crab cakes were amazing, moist and fresh taste. Salmon and steak dishes were large portion after their amazing appetizers, you’ll def take some leftovers home.

Absolutely great place for a romantic or special event dinner. We have a dog and being out with her on the patio with us was just amazing - we don't get to do that often. Kids loved food and of course the desserts (icecream). Portions are well suited and prices are slightly more than what you'd spend on a regular basis but worth it if you're visiting Niagara Falls as a tourist or just sightseeing during a day trip. Looking forward to visiting Sandstone Grillhouse again in the future.

Restaurant offers a pre fix dinner menu for a great price. Kids menu is also diverse and inexpensive. Make sure to do reservation to limit the wait time.Lamb shank was amazing full of flavor. The steak was well made. Calamari as an appetizer is a go to.Kids had no complaints about their food. Really startling to find this delight in one of the most "tourist" locations in the country, on one of the most "tourist" streets, a restaurant with very good food We ate outdoors on a pleasant terrace, with good service from adorable Tigan, a very varied menu, and what makes it possible, all under the watchful eye of the owner, who started as a teenager under the watchful eye of his parents, the original owners. All this made for a wonderful dinner that was totally unexpected. Bravo!
