Aura On The Lake

This is not a review of the restaurant itself—it's a review of the owner, and I think that's just as important because people deserve to know who they are supporting.

While visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake with my children, I found myself stranded when my car door suddenly wouldn't close. I was stressed and worried about how I was going to get home safely with my kids. I approached Nithan, the owner of this establishment, and simply asked if he had a screwdriver I could borrow.

Not only did Nithan lend me the tool, but he immediately came outside and helped me fix the problem himself. From the moment he stepped in, he was kind, patient, and genuinely eager to help. At no point did he make me feel like I was inconveniencing him or taking up his time. His attitude was completely positive, and he went above and beyond to make sure the issue was resolved so that my children and I could get home safely.

Acts of kindness like this are rare and deserve to be recognized. I am incredibly grateful that our paths crossed that day. While I haven't had the chance to eat here yet, I can say with complete confidence that this is the kind of business owner I want to support. Character matters, and Nithan demonstrated the kind of generosity, compassion, and community spirit that makes a real difference in people's lives.

The next time we visit Niagara-on-the-Lake, we will absolutely be stopping in for a meal. Thank you, Nithan, for your kindness and for reminding us that there are still genuinely good people willing to help others when they need it most.

Lovely little restaurant, we sat outside as a group of 7 and then served us before closing as we got to Niagara late. They didn’t make us feel like an issue, they sat us and we got fantastic service with even better food. Great menu choices for everyone.

Niagara local here, have walked by this place many times on my way to other, more traditional spots around town. Stopped in for an afternoon patio session and was stunned! Amazing food, quick service, kind staff. We'll be back!

Lovely place for delicious food and great service. Try the flights of rum or ask for paneer in the mushroom mattar. All great. As for Maya, she makes it even more fun!! Not to miss.

We had an amazing dinner last night!! The patio was so quaint, the food was delicious and the server was wonderful!!! Family run restaurant with emphasis on quality and taste. We love Indian cuisine and this was by far one of the best we have had!! Thanks for the great culinary experience!!

Absolutely lovely experience. My wife and I did the date night meal--1 appetizer, 2 main dishes, 2 breads, 2 desserts, and a bottle of wine.

The wine could be international, but we opted for a local Chardonnay and loved it. The appetizer samosas were delicious. I got the chicken tikka masala and loved the spice profile--not something that'll set off alarms for a Scoville afficianiado like I am but very flavorful and balanced in a good way. Both of us had the gulab jamun for dessert that was delightful. The owner brought us a digestif even without prompting, just as a treat for us to try.

All in all it was a fantastic experience food or otherwise. Ambiance and atmosphere are just as nice as the food. Absolutely recommended.
