We have been to Budapest quite a few times now and the food is excellent. Always fresh ingredients and prepared when you order. Our routine is to get our food and then sit somewhere along the parkway to eat. Service is always friendly, but expect to wait a bit. I had to knock off a star because for some odd reason they package the sandwiches in environmentally unfriendly plastic clamshells (I am quite certain this has been banned in Canada). There are much better options out there!

We drove by and 2 of my friends in the car they are hungarians and they went nuts when they saw this bakeshop. We found park and walked there to get the so famous traditional chimneys (they have been telling us we need to try for so long) they ordered the one with almond and they said it was really good really brough them back memories from back home and closure, so I had obviously to try and I got the oreo chimney and it was huge, thought i couldnt finish... but guess what? It was sooo good i couldnt stop eating until was done. Definetely this is a mandatory stop next time i go back to niagara on the lakeParking: Paid parking on the street

I recently visited Niagra-on-the-Lake (a quaint small town) as part of a tour to Niagra Falls. While there, I purchased the "BEST" dam sandwich that I've experienced in a long time. It's called their Chimney turkey & cheese sandwich. Sounds simple but the taste of it was absolutely yummy!! The shop has a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The food quality exceeded my expectations, and the employees were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend trying their delicious offerings!PLEASE PLEASE open a shop at the Toronto airport or better still open one in the U.S, preferably Delaware.

wow, what the heck did i see in the Budapest bakeshop window on my walk in downtown Niagara on the lake- a Hungarian bake shop making chimney cakes...i went in, ordered 3 of these things, strawberry, Nutella and cocunut. Unique and the best dessert I have ever enjoyed.
THIS HIT THE SPOT - carby, chewy, doughy, warm goodness! It's really neat seeing how these chimney pastries are made too. And when they come out pipping hot, it's oh so hard to resist. We tried a savoury PIZZA one. It was just perfect. Crispy pepperonis on the outside and the dough was baked just right, so warm, stretchy, pull apart. I can see it being good with a sauce, but man do I just enjoy the chimney on its own!

Did not expect to find excellent Hungarian food here, but I did. Whatever else you try, do yourself a favor and get a wrapped sausage, too. They're awesome.

My goodness this place is so stupid good. Their breads are absolutely delicious and their sandwiches are even better. Whether you're in the mood for sweet of savory their breads are amazing and you'll like anything you try. Prices are great as well! No indoor seating but there are some benches outside and a table or two nearby I think. Love the place can't wait to go back!
