Very disappointing; we recently did a tasting at the winery. It was basically empty, yet the description and discussion on the wines was minimal. Its expensive for a tasting and frankly, none of the wines or the venue justified the pricing so I can not see the value.
Lovely little boutique winery produces about 5000 cases a year.
Has a lovely dry riesling I would highly recommend
Always such a great experience. Abbey was wonderful, so personable and full of knowledge. Looking forward to our next visit!
Great place. First time there. We will be back!
We just had a lovely seated tasting at Ferox, after joining their wine club in the fall. Our hosts were engaging and informative, and it was a truly enjoyable experience.
The tasting, paired with delicious hors d'oeuvres, was excellent. The pick-up party was terrific, with friendly, welcoming members and nice wines and snacks.
This is a wine club very worth joining, run by people with a true passion for wine making.
We are very much looking forward to our next pick-up party.
Abby served us yesterday and was very personable and fun! Keep her! Our favourite wine was the Malbec!
My husband and I stopped in at the end of the day on a whim because we thought the winery looked cool online and we liked the name. We aren't exactly wine experts but we know a bit and it had good reviews.
Even though we got there an hour before closing the customer service was excellent and we were made to feel welcome.
I am just not a fan of whites so we didn't try them but they have amazing reds. We loved all of them and our server even let us sneak a taste of the fancy stuff because the bottle was already open.
We come up to Niagara a few times a year and this has now become our go to place!
Try it and thank me later :)
I highly recommend visiting this winery !!!! They will take you on this amazing journey of wine making. We came here for my future husband's 50th birthday, and wow, we were blown away ! I highly recommend taking a blind tasting with Cubby. He took us on a wonderful journey of wine tasting and making. Don't think about it. Just come. You will not regret it. This is high-quality wine. Grab a few bottles and enjoy !
Ferox is yet another great partner in the Friends with Benefits of Commisso Estate Winery wine club membership.
Our visit this past Saturday was really lovely. David, our host, was friendly welcoming and obviously quite knowledgeable about the wines of Ferox. The indoor tasting rooms on both ground and second floor are quite cozy. Upstairs is a small balcony with a few seats looking over the vineyard. Small outdoor seating areas are at the front and side of the main building. Out back is a larger patio area for summer sipping.
Some very good wines and quite a nice charcuterie board were enjoyed by our group.
My positive experience with Ferox started when I booked our tasting. Cubby was very quick to get us booked for the day and time I wanted, and I'd received a confirmation email before we finished chatting.
I'm looking forward to a warmer weather visit to enjoy more wine on the patio!

The Ferox 2023 Rosé is a revelation for those who appreciate a deeper hue in their rosé wines. From the first pour, it's clear this isn't your average rosé; its dark, almost ruby color hints at the intensity and complexity within. This visual promise does not disappoint upon tasting.
Crafted by the innovative winemakers at Ferox, known for their dedication to creating unique and robust wines, this rosé stands out with its rich visual appeal. The dark color, unusual for a rosé, suggests a longer maceration time, which in turn imparts a fuller body and a more pronounced flavor profile than one might expect from its lighter counterparts.
On the palate, the 2023 Rosé does not shy away from its bold appearance. It offers a delightful array of flavors - think dark berries, a hint of spice, and a subtle earthiness that you might find in red wines, yet it retains the refreshing crispness that rosé lovers crave. This daring approach to rosé wine-making showcases Ferox's commitment to pushing boundaries while maintaining the elegance and drinkability that rosé is celebrated for.
The dark color isn't just for show; it's a testament to the wine's depth and the careful selection of grapes, which are handled with precision to extract just the right amount of color and tannin. This rosé pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, from hearty meats to rich pastas, thanks to its structure and complexity, which are beautifully highlighted by its distinctive dark hue.
In summary, the Ferox 2023 Rosé is a must-try for anyone looking to explore the richer, darker side of rosé wines. It's not just a drink but an experience, reflecting the adventurous spirit of its creators at Ferox. Here's to a rosé that dares to be different, both in color and character!

Have been several times now and each time the experience was stellar. The food is exceptional, accompanied by wonderful wine pairings and welcomed by Nicole who elevates the service well above other restaurants. The beef tartar was so finely balanced….the oxtail lasagna was divine. The tapas platter a delight, the lamb belly sumptuous. We can’t rave enough and book in every Thursday! Our favourite in Niagara. Thank you Ferox!
Their wine is excellent!! And, the prices are very competitive! They offer some of the finest Chardonnays the Niagara Region has to offer!!
Excellent food, wine and service.... and two EV chargers. Waaay better than eating in o e of the tourist traps on the main street. Beautiful shaded little patio for the summer, too.
A good selection of wines. Worth a visit.
Fantastic experience, extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. Beautiful setting and superb service. Made 2 trips over the more popular commercial wineries in the area. If you are looking for a hidden gem Ferox is the place to go!
