Clearly marked vegan options and some of the friendliest and nicest staff- super helpful and excited about their food Knowledgeable and know what vegan is Some of the best vegan dish I’ve had in a long time - highly recommend Avo-Q roll and soy flow rolls!
Our Best Anniversary Dinner Experience in 14 Years We visited Masaki for our anniversary, and it became our best anniversary dinner experience in 14 years. Everything, from the food to the service to the presentation, was exceptional. We ordered the top sirloin don bowls, and they were absolutely phenomenal. The flavour profile was layered, rich, and perfectly balanced. Even the edamame, something usually so simple, was elevated with a beautiful sear and paired with an incredibly flavourful soy sauce. The miso soup was deep, bold, and comforting, easily one of the best we have ever tasted. Presentation across all dishes was stunning. The Dragon Roll with barbecued eel genuinely impressed us. Despite having been to Japan, this was the best eel sushi we have ever had. The chef's special gyoza were packed with flavour and unlike any gyoza we have tried before. For dessert, Masaki surprised us with a complimentary plate to help us celebrate our anniversary, and that gesture meant a lot to us. The matcha cheesecake with red bean offered a perfect harmony of flavours. It was smooth, balanced, and beautifully plated. The mochi ice cream platter was a refreshing and delightful finish to the meal. The service was just as remarkable as the food. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. Everything was well organized, and the steady flow of service made the entire evening feel comfortable and cared for. We highly recommend this restaurant. Every dish we ordered was a perfect 10 out of 10, and the overall experience was unforgettable. Masaki made our anniversary truly special, and we will definitely be returning.
Great food, Especially the feature selections on both the appetizer and main menu. Very nice atmosphere, with open kitchen
We are regulars at this restaurant. This time, we ordered something different from our usual meals. I ordered the Yaki Niko Don, and my husband ordered the Sushi platter. Both are excellent and always so good. Thank you.
Amazing & creative food. Server was very helpful with sake selection...there's a lot. Definitely recommend
Our overall experience at Masaki was great, the ambience was perfect, and the food was delicious. The service was good; the only thing i could nitpick is that no special amenity was provided, despite reserving ahead of time mentioning that we were celebrating a birthday. Would definitely come back
The Nabeyaki Seafood Udon was as good as it gets. Fresh seafood and not too salty. Perfection!
Food and service was impeccable. It was a very busy Wednesday night when we were there so the noise level was a bit higher than normal, I imagine but my Salmon was super fresh and delicious. I love that they have a separate gluten free menu. It was the first time in years I was able to enjoy miso soup. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will certainly return.
Super Bland sushi rolls, mediocre service, rocky shrimp was really good, and beef bowl was really good as well but overall wouldn't return
There were only 2 tables occupied, so why was I seated beside one of them ? Miso soup is not near as good as it used to be and neither is the sushi. Plating used to be spectacular. There used to be an assortment of teas, now, choice of 3. Since the Vintage Hotel chain took it over, it like everything else under their umbrella, is cheap, shoddy and lack luster. 6 pages of sake choices but only 2 for food. Profit, profit, profit. Was not pleased when I saw one of the chefs bring in a garbage can wearing plastic gloves and then prepared food. Never again, sadly.

Love the restaurant, have been there 4 times, every time I go to Niagara on the lake I'll visit. Great service and consistent food quality. Think it is the best Japanese restaurant in the area.
This is fine dining. Everything was delicious. I have two criticisms. We had reserved a table for two weeks in advance. The we arrived we were ushered past a table for two, to a mack dining room that was dark and lacked any vibe at all. Kind of like hey did not want us seen up front. And it was a table for four. OK, we had our table on time. But without the "experience" which they could have easily provided. The second thing was I ordered the lobster miso soup. It came with a lobster claw immersed in the soup, and a lobster cracking tool. I was supposed to fish the claw out of the soup, crack it apart, retrieve the meat. By the time I was able to accomplish this my hands were soaked the table was soaked and I could only get some of the meat out. A terrible way to serve this dish. Had they warned me in the menu that the lobster was serve IN the soup IN the shell I would have passed. The soup was delicious but the wrestling with the lobster was insane. AND the lobster was overcooked as well. We will return, but this is why the experience is not 5 stars all the way.
Best place in Niagara on the lake. My partner doesn't even like sushi but the chicken dish was great for him
We all loved it. Great sake experience too with a sake sommelier.

We had a lovely dinner at the sushi bar.
It’s not often enough that we find sushi restaurants run by Japanese chefs. Very happy to find this one.
Shared a lovely bottle of sake with our sushi & cod. Absolutely delicious!
