I had a great inside table overlooking the vineyard on a beautifully sunny weekday. The breakfast was excellent. I had the avocado toast with smoked salmon and a poached egg. The egg was perfectly cooked and the smoked salmon was beautifully smoked placed on quality home made, fresh bread. The coffee was terrific. Not burnt swill that languished in a pot. Nicely brewed. The service was friendly and attentive. Food came out hot. Oaklands made it completely unnecessary to leave the property for breakfast. Highly recommend even for those not staying at the Inn. FYI: I'm a breakfast kind of guy. With a wide array of choices and a good selection of morning cocktails I envisage this is a great place to brunch on weekends with family, friends, or just you and your boo. Make a morning at Oaklands. You won't regret it.
We stayed at the Riverbend Inn for Christmas and enjoyed breakfast there. Salmon was fresh, and my husband really loved his Wine Country Breakfast. Service was great as well.

It was okay. The server was a bit odd and kept asking my wife to repeat something that she couldn't pronounce correctly (English isn't her first language). Toilet in the bathrooms gives you one square at a time and when it runs out you have nothing. Portions were tiny for breakfast but overall the food was good.
Everything was amazing. Great atmosphere, good tasty food that came out hot. Cappuccino was delicious. Surprised by our complimentary mimosas for our anniversary. Staff were all wonderful.
My family and I have been going to this restaurant for years. We called and asked if the place was dog friendly and they said absolutely and the person on the phone said she's so excited to meet our Corgi.
To our surprise when we got there we walked in to check in. We were given very dirty looks by the server as though we did something terribly wrong and we didn't understand why that was as we did call ahead of time, then we were treated like second class citizens and walked out side from the other side of the porch, then we were put at the very last able on the porch.
The server was extremely rude to us didn't even greed us, we started with a bottle of wine and the cheese board that was served with crackers you can buy at the store. It started to rain and they wouldn't let us go on the covered porch or inside for that matter. It was the Canada day long weekend and it took us over 3 hrs to get there due to traffic, we were starving, I was extremely upset and we told the server and she said that they don't allow dogs on the property that the person answering the phone didn't know. We had barley drank had anything out of our wine and told her we were starved... her response was she could cork our wine or we can sit under the little umbrella and eat. I said no thank you, she corked our wine (which btw was also sold by the glass which she could have charged us for 2 glasses instead of $80/bottle). We left as I couldn't stand to be there another minute, we have never been treated with such disrespect.
We ended up going to Tradewell cuisine which was wonderful and "DOG FRIENDLY" we were greeted at the door our dog got treats and a clean bowl of water, the server was amazing, wine and food was exceptional, they had blankets on the chairs no need to even ask for them, atmosphere was very welcoming as well. A true 5 star restaurant... we didn't mind spending over $500 for dinner and our dog got a salmon filet prepared especially for her. The Oaklands restaurant has a lot to learn from them, don't call yourselves dog friendly if you're not.. it's ok but just be honest and open about it.
I called the manager to find out that the server was their long time employee!!!! enough said will never go back to this place, we have told every person we know about our terrible experience.

Lovely ambience and fantastic service. We highly recommend dining at Oaklands at the Riverbend Inn.
Enjoyed 3 lovely meals here when we stayed at the Riverbend Inn for our mini-moon. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious and the staff were so great. It was nice to see familiar faces on a day-to-day basis too.
We had a lovely lunch at Riverbend. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious. They didn't mind us lingering there all afternoon. We'll be back!
Beautiful place and amazing food, as usual. I just don't like the new menu forcing each person to order 2 courses compulsory. Another thing, they kept saying when I made the reservation that they are fully booked and when we arrived the restaurant was nearly empty and there only 3-4 tables occupied.
Very nice patio setting overlooking the vineyard. We split the 3-course fixed price meal, selecting the mushroom toast, mussels, and dessert. The mushroom toast was really delicious, the mussels were well seasoned, the dessert equally tasty. A very enjoyable Friday afternoon luncheon. It can be a little tricky to find—the given address is on Niagara River Pkwy but one must take a side road to the back of the Riverbend Inn to access both the inn and their Oaklands Restaurant.

The four of us had a wonderful meal on the patio overlooking acres of vineyards under a gorgeous sunset. The food was excellent: pick the mushroom on toast app and the short rib main! Darrion our server was proficient, attentive and fun. 6 stars. Will be back.

Adoré le restaurant pour son ambiance. Nous avons soupé à l'extérieur au coucher de soleil et c'était magnifique. Je ne ferais pas nécessairement le détour pour la nourriture toutefois, mais belle sélection de vins ontariens au verre offerte.
All in all a wonderful experience. Our waitress was attentive and had very good energy. The food and wine pairing was excellent and the ambience was great. The restaurant was clean quiet and very tastefully furnished. We would certainly have dinner there again
We come here 1 to 2 times a year for dinner during our trips to the area. The outdoor seating is always nice and peaceful, but we go during low travel season to avoid the crowds. This time I had mushroom on toast and beef short rib.
Excellent meal and service. Beautiful presentation on the plates, well prepared. As a table of four, we had a fair bit of variety - short ribs were excellent, those who had oysters indicated that they were very good (nice presentation), chicken was juicy and loved the mushrooms on toast - was very large and could have been an entree. Service was very attentive and surprised how busy it was given it was a Tuesday after the holiday long weekend. Would return.
