Beautiful location and the service was outstanding. Dinner was well presented, slow paced for an early evening to allow us to linger and enjoy the ambiance and the dishes were tasty and full of colour.
We went for our anniversary dinner. We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine. What a lovely treat! The server was so kind and knowledgeable. The setting is magnificent. It's quiet and amidst the vines.
Loved this restaurant. It had a nice selection of menu options. my choice of short rib was superb! the wine pairing was perfect and views of the vineyards spectacular. a beautiful night out on the patio enjoying great food, great wine and terrific friends. We will be back.
What a perfect and beautiful lunch we had in this amazing patio overlooking the vineyard. From the moment we sat down I was already relaxed and happy knowing we picked the right place to celebrate my birthday. The waitress came by with a couple of glasses of complimentary champagne and said thanks for sharing your special day with us. The good, the view, the quiet breezy ambience made for a very lovely afternoon. Five stars all around!!!!
Disappointing. We have gone here several times over the last five years and thoroughly had great meals with great atmosphere but tonight things were a little different. My wife started off with the smoked salmon which she thoroughly enjoyed. For the main course my wife ordered the steak frites which was supposed to be fillet mignon. There were two hunks of meat served Medium Rare appearing to be cut across the grain because they were very tough. The frites were hot and the steak was not. She ended up sending the steak back and ordered the short ribs. I ordered the staple mushrooms and toast. However, the chef who created this moved to PEI and took his recipe with him. This mushroom and toast was nothing in comparison what was served before. I would recommend taking it off the menu. Finished off with a carrot cake, which was excellent. Overall very disappointed.
Extremely disappointed with our breakfast experience. The website menu and pricing was not the same menu we were presented with. The breakfast menu we were given had different options that were ridiculously over priced! We ordered the eggs benedict at $28 an order! They were delivered without anything else other than a few micro greens. Average price of eggs benedict for the area range from $13 to $19 and come with home fries, and at minimum a slice of orange. They were nothing special just a standard eggs benedict with a small piece of pea meal bacon. We asked for home fries and were charged $10 for a small bowl that was barely enough to share. There was no decaf coffee so we agreed to the Americano coffee. My first order was sent back because it tasted watered down. My replacement order was no better. When making the reservation, I was asked if celebrating a special occasion to which I replied a birthday and Father's Day. No special treatment or accommodation was made so why ask??? There was nothing exceptional about the experience to warrant the cost and the money spent. Unfortunately a costly lesson. Many friends and family have frequented the restaurant in the past and as locals we enjoy frequenting the area restaurants in the off season. I will not be eating here again and will let family and friends know of this very disappointing experience. Oaklands is off my list!
I recently dined for the first time at Oaklands at The Riverbend Inn. I had a 4:00pm reservation to fit between Shaw Festival performances, so it was not busy. The patio looked lovely, but it was windy and somewhat chilly, so I stayed inside. The prix fixe menu provided a good variety of choices. I chose the Smoked Salmon as my starter, Beef Short Rib as main, and Chocolate Torte for dessert. I was very happy with all of them, as was the wine selection.
Can not miss this experience if you're in the Niagara on the Lake area! Food was fantastic, dining on the patio was peaceful, and the staff were superb.
Great experience. Service and lunch were fantastic. Excellent ambiance with a great view. Highly recommend.
We were celebrating our recent elopment and the team at Oaklands was superb! They really went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated. The food was delicious, and we had an amazing view of the gardens. Would recommend to anyone celebrating with their loved ones.

We had excellent service from our lovely host and server Tonya. Our dinner was tasty and so delicious, a perfect ambiance on the outdoor patio with a lovely sunset view!
Delicious breakfast with beautiful presentation. Staff service was outstanding. I brought friends from France on their first visit to Canada. They were extremely impressed with everything. Definitely worth a visit.
I had a great inside table overlooking the vineyard on a beautifully sunny weekday. The breakfast was excellent. I had the avocado toast with smoked salmon and a poached egg. The egg was perfectly cooked and the smoked salmon was beautifully smoked placed on quality home made, fresh bread. The coffee was terrific. Not burnt swill that languished in a pot. Nicely brewed. The service was friendly and attentive. Food came out hot. Oaklands made it completely unnecessary to leave the property for breakfast. Highly recommend even for those not staying at the Inn. FYI: I'm a breakfast kind of guy. With a wide array of choices and a good selection of morning cocktails I envisage this is a great place to brunch on weekends with family, friends, or just you and your boo. Make a morning at Oaklands. You won't regret it.
We stayed at the Riverbend Inn for Christmas and enjoyed breakfast there. Salmon was fresh, and my husband really loved his Wine Country Breakfast. Service was great as well.

It was okay. The server was a bit odd and kept asking my wife to repeat something that she couldn't pronounce correctly (English isn't her first language). Toilet in the bathrooms gives you one square at a time and when it runs out you have nothing. Portions were tiny for breakfast but overall the food was good.
