From the moment I approached the restaurant, I was impressed. The elegance of the space was apparent as soon as we walked through the doors. We ordered the French toast and the lobster eggs Benedict, and both dishes were phenomenal. The lobster eggs Benedict was packed with generous portions of lobster meat, and the hollandaise sauce was exquisite—easily some of the best I’ve ever tasted, even with my background in college-level culinary courses. The combination of garlic, butter, English muffin, and lobster was absolutely perfect.
As for the French toast—it was the best I’ve ever had! Paired with a decadent cappuccino, the meal was truly memorable. Our waiter, Frank, was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable, which made the experience even better.
We’ll absolutely be back the next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!

Vegetarian options: There was at least one vegetarian option at each course. The waiter also mentioned that changes could be made to accommodate, but it was not needed in my case

Absolutely flawless! The food and the server, Courtney, were spectacular. The ambiance was relaxed. Every course was amazing (my compliments to the chefs) The sommelier, Alex, was so knowledgeable and engaging as we discussed the pairings and wines in general. The pairings were perfect, . Without a doubt the best meal we have had in NOTL over many years. Thank you so much.... we WILL be back.

Lovely little restaurant connected to 124 on Queen hotel and spa! We were visiting NOTL for our honeymoon and with the hotel package did breakfast at the restaurant all three mornings. The first two days we had Frank as a server, he was very fun and had a great smile. Recognized us from the first day and said "you told me you'd be back!" the second. He also gave some great recommendations for places to checkout in the area as first time visitors. The last morning our server was Colleen who was also so lovely. She was taking another tables order and saw my husband fiddling with his empty coffee cup as there was a tiny something in the cup itself (which happens, it was clean otherwise just something fell in the cup), and she came right over after taking the others tables order and immediately got him a new coffee cup. Very on top of things! Each breakfast was so delicious and it was cool getting to watch them cook right in front of us. Across the three mornings we tried the lobster benedict, the brioche pan pardue, and the chef's breakfast. As well, whichever local coffee shop the coffee beans comes from it, it was also really good coffee with breakfast!

Treadwell catered our wedding at The Gatehouse/124 on Queen on October 5, 2024. The food was absolutely amazing, we had high hopes considering the beautiful evening we had when we completed our wedding tasting and we were even more blown away. As somebody with celiac, they took every precaution and took my allergy very seriously, i had delicious options and did not get sick after eating. Our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about the food as well. We have heard "best food i have ever had at a wedding" multiple times. Thank you Treadwell!!!

To preface this review, we love treadwells! We’ve been on multiple occasions in the past and have had amazing tasting dinners. However, the current menu does not stand up to our previous experiences. The overall flavours of the dishes were very subpar and lacking. The best dish of the night was the char siu pork belly (not pictured); we wish that was a main course option!
The service and the wine definitely saved our night. But we’d recommend waiting a bit for a more refined or different menu.

As others mention, the food takes an incredibly long time between courses. The two appetizers are beautiful and delicious but portions are tiny. Then you get very hungry and are waiting so long for your main. It unfortunately takes away from the experience, becuz instead of getting to savour your expensive meal, you are rushing to eat because you are so hungry and have waited so long to eat. We got served our mains nearly 2h after we sat down!!! The waitress was good and did apologize when I commented but she could’ve come over, asked how we are, offered more wine, something, to make the experience better. So for that this is a 3 star for me.

First, sit at the bar by the grills!! The experience of watching true professionals is an added plus to the experience. And the foods were simply put some of the best chosen, prepared and served I’ve had. It’s were the salmon and beef tartare first course, butternut squash soup and pork belly second, duck breast and tenderloin main and finally excellent deserts who’s name escapes me. If u like good wines, get the pairings. No foodie is leaving here disappointed. Special thanks to Benoit for never leaving us wanting. Go here!!

This is going to be a tough one. I can't go lower than 5*. Everything is cooked perfectly, but it's super straightforward and simple. You will get what you see on the menu—nothing more, nothing less. Yet I see no reason to come back, dishes lacking structure, texture, and complexity. There can be so much more if Chef one day wanna go Wild with the menu.

Very generous portions
[October 5, 2024] Having booked a special birthday dinner at Treadwell, we arrived as a party of six at 7p, which is not one of their seating times ... upon checking I apparently made a reservation at a restaurant named Treadwell in the UK by mistake. In spite of this being my error, the manager April asked for a few moments, during which she arranged for a private dining room to be opened and prepared for us. She, our waitress Courtney and the sommelier (a young Turkish gentlemen whose name escapes me) were exceptional and truly saved the evening. The food, drink, ambience and service were all outstanding -- I cannot praise this restaurant highly enough!
[2023] Had an excellent dinner - both the maitresse d' and Greg, our very professional and attentive server, acknowledged that it was our anniversary. The four courses were each outstanding, and Greg's descriptions were complete and accurate. We made a reservation using Open Table some weeks prior, without which we would not have gotten a table ... after tasting the food I can understand why!
