The Willow Cakes

This place is not at all as advertised. It’s a little door in the back of a building and when you walk in, you’re basically in the place where they’re making the baked goods. No place to sit and very few items available for purchase. Don’t waste your time.

I ordered a box of muffins and when I went to have one there was mold inside the muffin. DO NOT go to this establishment. The manager of the store is also extremely disrespectful around this situation.

We ordered a 6” carrot cake from here for a birthday and it was the best carrot cake we’ve ever had! The icing was delicious and the cake was so moist and delicious!

The other reviews were misleading. You can only get gluten-free items at this bakery by order. They have nothing that is available for walk-in purchase that is gluten-free.

We had a wonderful experience with Willow Cakes. Their pop-up space was really lovely, and the cakes were absolutely delicious. It was such a treat to sit in the greenhouse with a coffee while deciding what flavour to choose. (Not an easy task)

They made our wedding cake perfectly in line with our style, and it tasted incredible. Even though there was a hiccup at the bakery on the morning of our wedding, everything was handled seamlessly and our cake was delivered without any issues at all. Most importantly, the cake was delicious, and we couldn’t have been happier.

Highly recommend Willow Cakes.

Called and confirmed last week to reserve a cake and my parents drove to pick it up for my birthday today. Showed up to their old and new location to an empty store. Been trying to call all day and no one has picked up. Would’ve been nice if they had given some notice, very disappointing.

ordered a carrot cake for my brothers birthday and the whole family lost their minds, it was the best carrot cake all of us have ever had! ordering the strawberry cream cake next for my dads birthday coming up :)

Catherine is incredible. She rescued a cake for us that we had ordered from another vendor that did not look anything like the inspiration photo and completely transformed it. And she did it last minute, after already working a full 12 hour day, on a holiday weekend. And she offered to pick up the cake from us and she dropped it to the party venue the next day. So so incredibly kind and talented. We are forever grateful!! You cannot go wrong with a Willow cake, they are both beautiful and delicious and made by wonderful people!

I will miss this place

What a great place. The desserts are really good especially their peanut butter cookies. They are chewy and nice and thin and not too sweet. Their “last hurrah” at the physical store for customers to visit was on 26 January 2025, but they are selling all their desserts online starting today 27 January 2025. Go online!

The royal cafe is absolutely amazing! Great treats and excellent coffee

This is such a joyful little place! Great selection at affordable prices. We got a collection of little cakes for our Thanksgiving dessert spread, and everyone wanted to try a little bit of each. Delicious!
