What a great night. This is not my first visit to Zees. Our golf foursome chose this restaurant for the proximity, the food, and the service. We were fortunate to have the same waiter (Sean) and all aspects of the evening weee as expected. The food, the wine, the ambiance were perfect. They have a section that is removed from the large dining area and is very quiet.
It doesn't get any better than this. The ambiance, our server and the food was brilliant. We had the 'special' which included the prime rib and made it a great value. I would recommend Zees to anyone.
Food was very disappointing. Artisan bread basket had 2 types of old bread. Nothing artisan about it. Chicken was OK but lacking salt and the rice was not fully cooked. The lamb shank was actually really good and so was the prime rib. Overall the food was inconsistent. Service was timely and friendly. Atmosphere was OK. Prices were not unreasonable but the food did not justify the price. Closeness to the Shaw festival theatre is the best thing going for this place. Will probably...
