Chaska Indian Street Food

I had the Butter Chicken Rice Bowl, and my friend had the Butter Chicken Naan Roll. Rice bowl is very good, comes with some cucumbers and onions as your 'salad' -- butter chicken is very sauce, and blends well with the basmati rice. I will say thay the regular size is small, so if you want something filling, get the large.

The naan rolls are super fluffy, and meshs well with the butter chicken. It can get a lil' messy, so be careful.

All in all, good food, good experience. I will try the rest of the menu eventually.

Chaska, conveniently located near York University, offers a variety of options that have both good and not-so-good aspects. I decided to try their masala fries, which were quite enjoyable, though I felt they could have benefited from a bit more seasoning to enhance the overall flavor. My friend chose the pani puri, and while it was decent, it didn't quite meet expectations. The potato stuffing seemed to lack the robust spices that typically make pani puri so delicious, and the pani itself was just alright.

One area for improvement would be the addition of chutneys, like the tamarind or mint-coriander chutney, which are traditionally served with pani puri. Their absence made the experience less satisfying, as the combination of the mild potato stuffing and pani was just okay. Overall, Chaska has potential and is worth a visit. With a few tweaks, especially in the pani puri's flavor and the inclusion of chutneys, it could become a favorite spot. I would recommend trying the masala fries, but maybe consider other options instead of the pani puri.

I ordered pav bhaji, while the pav was nicely grilled, the bhaji was pathetic. Bhaji was way too salty, they put a lot of butter too in the bhaji.

I tried their butter chicken and it was amazing. I am happy with quality and quantity too.

The staff is really kind and sweet. I ordered for a Samosa chat and I was not happy with the portion
And they made sure the portion was good. I genuinely like the place and the food tastes amazing.

I just treated myself because of the tough day I was having. I came to this beautiful Indian street food place and ate a fish wrap and it was the most amazing thing.

Because it’s early September, I also got a free chai. What a good day. !!

This place has everything Indian except the food.

Ordered their Butter Chicken bowl, Butter rice bowl, Vada Pav, Paneer Kathi roll and pop.

The best thing in that order was the pop.
Their food doesnt have any flavour whatsoever, the bowls are mostly gravy and rice bowl (it contains chicken or paneer for namesake).

I loved their Crispy Cauliflower Bites.. they were so delicious!!!
I bought a veg thali which was fulfilling.
Much appreciation for Diya and Kesha, they did a really good service at the store.
If you want a fulfilling nostalgic Indian cuisine food, don't miss this place.
Must try their Kati Rolls!!
