Be cautious about price differences between the QR code menu and the actual bill. The food and atmosphere were good, but the final bill did not match the menu prices. Although the staff apologized, no discount was offered. They did, however, update the QR code sticker immediately.

The lime margaritas were disappointing—full of crushed ice with a poor taste. Service was cold and unfriendly, and staff seemed indifferent. Prices have increased but the QR code menu wasn’t updated; when we mentioned it after paying, there was no apology or refund. The patio was uncomfortably hot, making the experience less enjoyable. We will never go again.

The worst margarita I ever had and the meanest service ever ... That was sad . Also the prices on the online menu didn't matched the actual menu and the waitress didn't bothered herself to even come to the table to say hi

Horrible experience in this place, We were 5 adults over 30 and already ordered food (They came after 30 min to take order btw)
and beer and they just asked us to all separate the the table because one of us hadn’t “physical” ID and she didn’t want even to drink!
She just so rudely ask to bring us ID! Definitely we don’t come back at all!!! I’m a supervisor myself and she was just so absurd!

UPDATED JULY 18 2025: Prices raised and drinks shrank? You gave me a $13 mini mixed drink with a paper straw? Might give this place another chance but as a long time customer I feel like I got scammed. (Reference Pic #3 compared to 2 monthd ago)
Not sure why they have such a low rating. Service is always friendly and quick. Chicken is well seasoned with good portions. They have some one of the best drink selections of any North York bar. Patio is heated too so you can literally be outside when it's less than 10 degrees and feel warm while getting fresh hour. This bar is a North York staple!!

I had such a wonderful experience at Chicken in the Kitchen! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I was also really happy with the service; the staff were kind, attentive, and made me feel very welcome. It’s clear they care about both their food and their customers.
