Congee Queen - North York(Lawrence/Don Mills)

Very good food, pleased with portions of meat in dishes. Lobster was delicious, wasn't disappointed with food.

The food was amazing. It came hot and it came fast. We were a table of 8. After we paid the original waiter (there was multiple) came back and asked why we didn't give the required tip....lol. So we let him know that he walked away while we were asking him questions. Then we had to hunt someone down to get water, plates and forks and spoons....they came after our meal was there. Look I am all for giving good tips...but they are earned. I am not going to give you a good tip if you don't go above and beyond what most waiters do...that's the point of a good tip. If you don't like that....do better. Or you can do a mandatory gratuity for tables over a certain size like other restaurants do....but what ever you do you don't demand a tip that wasn't even earned.

After my parents tipped 10% a waiter (who never even served us) began to pressure my parents to give 5% more.

My parents are seniors and wanted to treat us for a family dinner. This made us very uncomfortable as customers.

The food is okay not great .The reason is not much meat in the dish going out is just entertainment.

Had very good roast pork and bbq pork with duck , choy sum vegetables, bbq pork rice rolls, fried rice with mixed vegetables!!!!!!! I celebrated my 26th birthday here with my aunt my cousin, my father and Uncle Tim !!!!!! And then we went home for dessert o had Durian Birthday cake from Daan go Cake Lab to celebrate my 26th birthday!!!!!!!

Some of the best chinese in the city and great prices ! Defo the best hot and sour soup, lobster... actually everything I've tried here is wellade to perfection. The best congee queen location

Food is awesome. Atmosphere is very noisy with everyone talking loudly. Very drafty as people are jammed waiting a the front door. Servers demand and are threatening if you don't tip. Tipping is optional BTW.

The food was excellent the only question is they do not accept senior card at all and forcing to pay the tip i dont mind the tip but why they dont accept senior card?

Always good and consistent food. Extensive menu. We usually order the same things most of the time. Probably should try other items. Go to items are sizzling beef with mushroom, seafood congee with shrimp and scallops, shrimp rice noodle wrap, Cantonese style noodles, salt n pepper shrimp or squid

There policy is a mandatory 10 % tip should not demand such a tip .nothing special about their restaurant.

This review is specifically for the waiter Vincent. My girlfriend and I were seated at the booth closest to the entrance. Vincent, our server, stood in the host are right behind us the entire time. He had a chronic, loud cough and not once did he cover his mouth or at least, leave the area to cough away from patrons. He was literally coughing mouth open right over us. We also saw him using a toothpick to clean his teeth with bare hands and then proceed to serve other patrons. This is disgusting, unhealthy, and management should encourage members that are sick to stay home. This ruined our lunch, our appetite, and the atmosphere.
