The Pad Thai was very good. Chicken wings were nice and crispy and tender on the inside but wished there was more of a Tom yum flavour. The green curry was just okay. Have had better elsewhere. Overall, a nice experience.

The food was delicious. We got curry chicken pad thai and chicken fried rice. It was satisfying. I didn’t like the tableware which were steel cups and plates. Other than that everything else was pretty good.

The pad thai was perfect as it was not dry nor overly wet due to the way they cooked the eggs. The pho left alot to be desired although it was a Thai fusion so I should've expected as

The food is just amazing here. We have been to this place two times already and want to go a few more. Curry pad Thai has some unique twists. Curry chicken with rice is like none other! So many different unique options that I have not seen in other restaurants. Service is extremely fast! The food is ready in <5 mins. This blows my mind. Great service from the waitress as well.

Great visual restaurant. Food lacks flair. We saw this place being renovated and always wanted to try it when they opened. It’s been several months now and we decided today was the day. So we make the hike down Yonge street to the Grandpa Thai. When we walked in, it was a visual spectacle. The lights were bright. The wallpaper and paint just jumps out at you. The neon lights were delightful. It definitely spoke “Thai” and “Hong Kong” right away. The staff were pleasant. The place was packed with patrons. But we found a table right away. It’s usually a bad sign when you come to a restaurant and you can’t smell the food. In a restaurant that serves curry, I would expect to smell a hint of it somewhere. There was none. In fact, the restaurant smelled quite sterile. As with most modern restaurants now, the menu is a QR code. After scanning, we were surprised that the menu had very little photos of the food. So we had to guess what to order with just the brief descriptions. We ordered the taro deep fried spring rolls and the rice with grilled pork neck. The spring rolls were good. They were crispy but lacked any sort of taro taste. They definitely needed the dipping sauce. When someone says Thai food, what immediately comes to mind? Spicy, Aromatic, Flavorful food! However the food at Grandpa Thai falls short of that. It is definitely “fusion” food, but not in a great way. The food lacks something. The pork neck was tough and lacked any grilled smoked flavor. The rice was a simple bowl shaped with sweet soy sauce drizzled over. It was definitely under-inspired.I understand you can’t judge a restaurant by just having a couple of dishes. I would be interested in trying something else next time.I would likely try something else on the menu next time.

Delicious and well-portioned food, beautiful interiors (including bathrooms), friendly staff. We highly recommend the mango sticky rice - it comes with ice cream, coconut milk, dried coconut, sago, fresh mango, and sweet sticky rice.

Passed by this many times and finally my mom told me she saw it on a blogger and rated very good. So I shall try. Being from HK cbc but love Thai food background this surprisingly worked. Definitely not authentic but the soup flavour was sooo good. It had all the toppings I love in a bowl of hk cafe noodle - pork balls , viet ham, tofu puff , squid and nice chew chicken. I was impressed with the Amt of herbs they used in a bowl of "instant noodles" definitely think it's a nissin brand noodles if my taste buds r right. I spotted fried Thai basil, chilli, lemon grass , bamboo shoots , green onion , onion , large slices of bamboo. And then I got a Thai milk tea to go, which the size wasn't too bad for 5$ . Definitely come back and try the other dishes on their menu

Taste is a bit interesting. It’s not those authentic thai flavours. It tasted more like a chinese and thai fusion.Seafood noodle was too strange two other ppl couldnt eat but i enjoyed it lolPad thai had strong fish sauce taste than usual thai places but i still enjoyed it.The lam curry was great with soft and crispy naan. You cant adjust the spicy level for this curry so just a heads up.Ordering was done quick and convenient though our phone.Vibe was fun and happy! Conclusion, the price was a bit high for the portion and the flavour so i don’t think i will return but i recommend you to explore if you haven’t been to this place.

We ordered Pad Thai and Pad Krapow Moo from here on delivery, and they were visually appetizing and tasted amazing! We have been looking for a good Thai restaurant close by for a while, so we are really happy that this place opened up. No need to go to Pai Midtown anymore for Thai food! Highly recommended!

Poorly managed. The staff is incompetent and rude. They have no parking and don't get the deliveries done on time. They have the nerve to tell the drivers to wait 10 minutes....and of course they don't have enough respect to apologize. Give your money to a respectful business....not this one.

It’s quite a scam. Although the taste is okay, a 17.99 chicken pot contains 8 chickens, basically no chicken, and the rest can be said to be side dishes. Once I’m done with it, I won’t buy it again ? ??Not worth it, the chicken pot has chicken leg only not worth the price for sure

Beautifully decorated, great service and delicious food. The food was very authentic, the chicken pad Thai was the same as what you would get in Thailand. Pineapple fried rice was very similar. The servers were fantastic, water was refilled immediately as it was done, food was cooked quickly and everything was fresh. Portion sizes are spot on.They have an online menu, and you can place an order yourself. Will return.Wheelchair accessibility: Bathroom is in the basement, with no elevator. There is a step to enter the restaurant.
