The (spicy) chana roti was delicious, it wasn’t very spicy. The girl behind the counter taking orders was courteous and friendly. It was not busy when I was there so I didn’t wait long for the food since the roti fillings were already cooked and just needed to be wrapped in the roti flatbread. Customers order and pay for food at the counter for either takeout or eat in the restaurant.
Excellent food and very friendly staff. Young women who took our order was very nice and welcoming. Thank you.
Goat roti, hot side of gravy, doubles, rice with gravy, Ting. Perfect!

Island Foods is an ultra authentic West Indian restaurant on Don Mills Rd. It is a rare family business gem, run by a mother and daughter who are beautiful people and very kind. The staff is exceptionally friendly, patient, and accommodating.
The restaurant serves the best roti in town. The chicken roti is cooked to perfection, with that perfect buss up shot flakey texture. The chicken breast is moist, the potatoes are tender, all smothered in heavenly gravy. Other menu items include potato roti, Chana roti, beef potato roti, goat roti, oxtail, goat, jerk chicken, shrimp, doubles, and a slice of rum cake. The gravy adds to the flavour.
The restaurant is clean and bright. Island Foods is comfort food done right. Customers keep coming back for years, even over 20 years, and are never disappointed. No matter where you are coming from, this place is so worth the drive.
