After so many years of loving Pearl and going for dim sum almost weekly, first at Harbourfront and then for many years at Bayview Village (now York Mills) we had two back-to-back negative experiences with the chain and will not be returning. We were served RAW shrimp har gao and, not only was it raw, but it looked like there was something wrong with it. The Peking duck here is really good. Spicy salt pork chops and veg were also delicious. Fish had a strong fishy taste, which was a bit disappointing. Service was good. Comes off as a higher end place with nice ambience. Prices were significantly higher than most Chinese restaurants in the GTA though.

The dining experience is what I expected and it matched their standards from their previous location. We ordered a number of dim sum dishes and they came out steadily and quickly. The flavours were familiar and on point.
