I took my son there for chicken Katsu and ordered myself a fried rice dish to take home. The server brought the bill and I paid, then she said she made a mistake and I underpaid. So she charged me nearly $6 more, and we left. I took a look at the menu online to double check the pricing, only to realize she had actually overcharged me on the original bill (which is in Korean only so it slipped by me as the items were not correct). I was overcharged on the bill by $5 as well. My bill should have been under $30 but with tip and overcharging, I spent just over 50
Pyung Won House is nice in that it stays open very late into the night! So if you're craving some Korean food, be sure to head here since it's open until 5 AM. However, their prices are much steeper than many restaurants surrounding them. Some menu items are more reasonable, like their soondubu, but I do not recommend ordering ramen here for their price. Overall, Pyung Won House is a good place to go if you're looking for some decent Korean food. But don't be surprised if your bill is more than you're used to!
Went here yesterday with some friends. We asked at the door when they closed and the server said “later so please sit” and we did. Then 2 mins later four white guys came in and were sat and moved twice. Then 10 mins later an Asian couple and an Asian party of three. The server then chose to ignore me and my friends and the four white guys for 20 minutes to assist the two Asian couples. During the wait several more parties were invited to sit and neglected until they walked out. It’s obvious she wanted us to walk out too but we didn’t.It was a nightmare trying to pay our bill too. We just left $70 on the table (3 bottles of soju after tax is $69)I enjoyed the soju but it’s a bottle of liquor from the LCBO so it’s not really a pro of the establishment.I am never coming back. Terrible service. Not worth a tip either.

I actually enjoyed this place! The sides were good, the staff was nice and the bbq was delicious!
Basic eatery. The Bibim bap was so so.Grilled Mackerel was pretty good with a soya soup base.Open late and indeed a kind of place to go when nothing is open.

First time and last time come here. Today we went there to eat dinner, we order Daegi Kalbi and Makchang for Table BBQ and one cold noodle. Overall cost us ~96$ ( not including tip). I will not say anything if the food there was good, but the meat and intestines were frozen and not clean properly. Besides, it's too little for that price ( 4 pieces of pork and really thin). When we ate, smell just like meat was kept in frozen for at least 2 months. Also, staff in there was not friendly, idk bc of busy or what? Not recommend at all, worst Korean cuisine ever in GTA!
Food was good. Staffs was very nice to us. Highly recommend!
It’s always my go-to Korean restaurant near Finch station. Food quality here has never let me down. It’s fresh & tasty. Side dishes are housemade, fresh and refillable. The waitress is always friendly, welcoming and caring. Highly recommend this restaurant for a casual dinner out!
Recommend to try out. We ordered Gamjatang and a Stir fried squid, they are good. A lot of really good side dishes, which is a plus. Good service too.
Came here with a friend late one night after receiving devastating news while I was unable to sleep. We were seated by the waitress; we browsed the menu and spoke about what had happened. It was hard to speak at all, multiple close friends of mine had went missing in action on an operation. Not knowing if someone is alive or not is one of the most gut wrenching feeling I've ever known. More than anything, I needed a friend, and some nice hot noodles to comfort me.Most restaurants can substitute the rice or noodles used in a dish for a surcharge, not this place. When I asked if they could substitute the noodles for Shanghai noodles if I payed the difference in a dish I frequently enjoyed at other restaurants with the noodles switched for Shanghai noodles, the waitress rudely refused. I wouldn't have had an issue if they politely explained that they couldn't do that due to the way their system worked or something like that. When my friend asked for a soup recommendation based on ingredients he liked, the waitress said "I don't know, choose for yourself". She said there wasn't a vegetable soup on the menu either. The restaurant had two other people, at one other table, who had already been served, and it took quite a while for the food to come. When it did, they brought us our side dishes on one set of plates. We didn't receive individual sets of side dishes, they put both of our sides on one plate for both of us.The food was good. When it was time to go (the restaurant was closing) my friend asked the waitress if she could put the remainder of his soup into a takeout dish with a ladle or something for him as he was having difficulty transfering it himself. She refused. I tried aswell but was unable as the bowl was still hot, very awkward and rather heavy. My friend only ate a few spoons of his soup, and was unable to take the the remainder home. Very disappointing. When we went to pay by debit, I didn't add a tip due to the poor quality of the service. I myself am a food courier, I don't ever expect a tip from clients and I certainly would never insist someone tip me, esspecialy if there were an issue with the order or if there was an issue with the experience. After I put my card into the machine the waitress pointed out that I had not chosen to tip her and that the tip wasn't included in the price. I didn't have much money left in my account anyways and went out only because of how crushed I felt by the news I had received and because of how much I needed to take my mind of the situation. When I apologized for not having enough to tip her she scoffed at me and gave me and my friend a dirty look and walked off into the back, without giving me or my friend our receipts.I am extremely displeased with the service I received, which is a shame, because I liked the food and would consider coming back to try other dishes if the service wasn't so terrible.Incredibly displeased.
Vegetarian options: When my friend asked if they had a vegetable soup (he'll eat meat, but prefers not to at night due to difficulty digesting at late hours), the waitress said they didn't.
Dietary restrictions: They won't substitute ingredients.

Extremely friendly hostess and good service, helped to refill the free appetizers. Food is cooked on-site and fresh. Recommend the rice sausage soup.
Grace is the only person I come to this restaurant for. She has the best customer service and is always in peak attitude to her customers. I love her energy and it makes the whole experience worthwhile to come here for. Their tofu soup and kalbi is amazing. Highly recommend this place!!
I love this restaurant. The food is fresh, looks great and very delicious. Every time when I come to this restaurant, the service is great and very kindly. The ‘Jokbal’ which I ordered is one of the very famous foods in Korea. I always missed this taste. But, this restaurant give a wonderful satisfaction of what I want. Please come and enjoy the taste of Korean foods.
Honestly, the food is great, service is amazing. Anytime i come here its fast and comfortable. (I come mostly after 8pm-4 am)
Food was okay, but the entire experience changed because the server was loudly asking for tips when we were paying our bill. We felt very uncomfortable. If tips are mandatory then it should be notified either in the menu, or by the server beforehand. A service fee can be charged in the bill, that’s fine. But the way things are done really changes the atmosphere.
