Shi MiaoDao Yunnan Rice Noodle (NorthYork)

We went to the resstaurant at Ravel Rd, North York. tonight. We are a group of 4 adult and 2 children of 6 and 4 years old. We ordered 5 bowl of noodle 米线 and 3 dishes of cold dish 涼菜 . As the menu said, each bowl of noodle can order a refill bowl of plain noodle. Out of 4 adults, 3 of us want to take advantage of this. However, the waiter said we ordered only 5 bowl of noodle for 6 people. It's sharing noodle and need to pay $1 extra for 1 bowl of the plain noodle. I really don't understand how to interpret the menu. According to the menu, we entitled to 5 extra bowl of noodle. Now we only ask for 3 additional bowl and need to pay $1 extra for 1 of the 3 bowls.

Really good Chinese noodle spot overall. The food tasted great and the spice level was perfect flavorful with a nice kick but not too hot. The only thing we would have appreciated is more toppings, as it felt a bit lacking in that area. Still a solid experience, just hoping for more toppings next time.

Hard to believe there is a over 4 star place. Chicken broth rice noodle literally tastes like just water. The miao rib was hard like rock. We asked for napkins about 3 times and waiter was totally ignored. May not come back again

I ordered a braised beef brisket noodle $13.99 with an additional $4.59 beef brisket because I like my protein. The staff said I get 5 pieces extra. These are tiny cubes the size of meat balls. I think that’s excessive but I’m not sure if that’s me. Maybe it’s me. Kind of expensive in my opinion. I’d rather go to the famous BBQ place next door next time for my protein fix. Not for me.

The quality is very good for the price. The staff is friendly and seen and comfortable ingredients are fresh and prices flow. I will not review each item I ordered S7 pork chop cut lid for $5 is the best value. You get two full hot pork. Cutlets crazy good value and quality c3 potato slice. This one is not worth it. It was raw and had a weird taste. I also ordered r16 fish small chicken noodle soup and that had very good noodles. I like how it's Al Dante and one the noodles were different but I personallyante but some people might like it. Maybe just don't soak it in the soup so early put like half of it in and then eat and then put the other half later and one is $13.99.

Update may 20 visit 2025.
R16 is my fav. N1 r1 and f4 is just okay. I think f1 soup is good also better than f4 soup.

I had a very bad experience dining at this restaurant today. I ordered an extra bowl of rice noodles but didn't finish it. When I asked for a takeaway, the waiter accused me in public, "If you can't finish it, you should add half a bowl, not a whole bowl." His tone was full of judgment, which was very embarrassing! What's even more outrageous is that they dragged their feet and didn't provide takeaway boxes, and their attitude was cold throughout the whole process.

As a customer, I understand avoiding waste, but it is really unacceptable for the waiter to publicly criticize the customer's choice and provide negative service. The most basic thing in the catering industry is respect, not to embarrass customers in public.

I will not recommend this restaurant, and I will also remind my friends to choose carefully. I hope the management will pay attention to employee training and not let other customers have similar bad experiences.

Really good noodles! And they give you noodle refills! My daughter at almost 3 bowls of noodles! Noodles come in a super heated bowl and piping hot! I burned my tongue but it was so good!

I had a super spicy lamb and it was delicious! Also the clams were delicious and I don’t know what sauce that was on it but it was so good!

Can’t remember what else we tried but the whole family enjoyed it. Would go again!

This is hands-down my favorite spot! The service is always so kind, and the food never fails to hit the spot. The prices are fantastic for a hearty meal, especially with unlimited rice noodle refills—such an amazing value!

I’ve tried many of their cold dishes, and they’ve all been delicious, especially the potato slices. Everything about this place is perfect, and I’ll keep coming back again and again. Easy 5 stars for food, service, and value!
