I absolutely love The Great Canadian Bagel! The staff here are amazing – always friendly, welcoming, and quick to help. The owner is wonderful too, you can tell they really care about both the food and the customers. Everything is always fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere feels warm and inviting.
My personal favorite is the Hot Tomazzo with cream cheese on one of their fresh bagels – it’s honestly unbeatable. The bagels come out soft, warm, and perfectly baked every time. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into their food.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for fresh, tasty bagels and great service. This place never disappoints!

Great place in the York food court! Came here for food in the midst of Musicfest Nationals and was delighted with fast service and a good sandwich. I had the sausage egg and cheese sandwich. We also met the manager and we talked about the music nationals event and schedule, very kind man!

I come here usually a couple of times a week for breakfast whenever I'm on campus to teach. I always ask for the bagel to be cut, because of arthritis in hands. This time she refused to make two cuts (quarters). Didn't want to cut it at all . Why? No reason. Ok, happy ? This is my last visit.

Got a Cheddar salsa bagel with egg, back bacon, and guacamole. Delicous breakfast food served all day on delicous bagels.

$8.46 CAD for a spinach and egg bagel is absurd. Also, the egg isn’t even freshly cooked. It’s already prepackaged in a container and simply microwaved. The tomato and lettuce aren’t that fresh either and are just thrown onto the bagel without much care. Charging extra for American cheese when its nutritional value isn’t even that healthy is also crazy. The cheese just tastes similar to that of McDonald’s. The owner stated that everything is fresh in response to someone else’s review when literally almost everything is prepackaged and I see it with my own eyes as the employees assemble the food in front of customers, so you cannot deny this. The employees also seem to be confused with the orders and rush the payment process. The atmosphere is also very dark and gloomy. The tables are also very dirty and have crumbs everywhere that I had to leave and find some place else on campus that was more clean, even though I had wanted to sit at the tables.
