The food here tastes pretty good, it is certainly not amazing. While York is lacking many "sit-down" restaurants, The Underground is one of the better ones. There are many aspects of the menu that are great such as the lattice fries and many other appetizers. The menu itself is very diverse with a lot of options. Had to wait incredibly long for service. They need more staff cause you can see them working but too much customers for them to handle at once. I spent more time waiting for the bill than actually eating. The menu has some good options though.

I got their pesto chicken mac and cheeses and it was tasteless. I can't even say if it was good or bad because i simply tasted nothing. The chicken did not taste fresh at all and the sauce was extremely watery. The service was quite nice and they have some nice pool tables. It is a nice place for students looking for a place to chill with friends but don't expect to get good food here.
