I used to go to Yummy BBQ often when I was still living in Toronto, and it quickly became one of my go-to Korean food places. Everything on the menu that I’ve tried tastes really good, but my usual orders were the pork bone soup (Gamja-tang) and the barbecue (both pork and beef). The pork bone soup is flavourful, and very comforting, while the barbecue meats are always tasty and satisfying. Portions are generous and you definitely get good value for your money.

I know some people mention in their reviews that the owners can come across as grumpy, and I’ve noticed that too. But I also believe we don’t really know what someone has gone through or is going through. Plus, the owners are already older and handle everything themselves -- cooking, serving, working the counter -- so I understand why they may seem stern. In my experience, after a few visits they warmed up a bit, and I came to appreciate their hardworking spirit behind the business.

For me, Yummy BBQ has always been about enjoying hearty, authentic Korean dishes, and that’s what keeps me coming back whenever I was in the area. I truly recommend giving this place a try if you want comforting Korean food. I hope more people support this business so it can continue serving delicious meals for years to come.

Looking for the best Korean BBQ, Yummy BBQ in my opinion is the best. Unfortunately they moved from Young St to Don Mills and York Mill area, but Worth the drive.

Tried this place based on positives reviews. Ordered bbq ribs and chicken and both were delicious. Will visit again if I’m in the area.

This take out place is hidden in a food court. The yummy special is the best deal. At 36 dollars you get three types of meat (beef, short ribs and chicken) and lots of side dishes and rice. The portion is well enough for two people. The meat is grilled well and has the charcoal flavour.

I believe the meat is supposed to be non spicy but somehow I got the spicy one first time I ordered. I’d choose the spicy one over the non spicy. The meat is just more juicy and tender.

What surprises me the most is the egg battered zucchini. It’s light on the taste and not oily. A perfect side dish to pair with the spicy meat.

For the kimchi, it’s not that great and I think it’s store bought.

I also ordered the seafood pancake at a different time and it was not great. Too much batter, too starchy, and I can’t taste/find any seafood.

The place is run by a Korean couple and I noticed that lots of Koreans going there and buying their foods. It must say something about the authenticity.

Highly recommend the Yummy Special (ask for spicy). Cant say too much about other items on the menu as I haven’t tried them yet.

I tried this Yummy Korean BBQ stall at the food court for a few times, and I must say, their BBQ dishes are fantastic! We always order the BBQ Dinner 2-Meat Combo Meal [ choices are: Beef Short Ribs/Pork/Beef/Chicken ], and each time, the flavor is outstanding. The strong charcoal-grilled taste really enhances the overall experience and makes the dishes truly memorable.

While the price is a bit on the higher side at $50+tax for the dinner combo, the generous portion size definitely makes up for it. It's perfect for a hearty meal that leaves you satisfied.

My only downside is that the food court cleanliness was below par, so I would recommend this spot more for take-out rather than dining in.

Overall, if you're craving authentic Korean BBQ with strong flavors, this stall is definitely worth a try!

Dinosaur size portion sizes and delicious bbq! My wife and I had the yummy special ($36.00), more than enough food to feed 2 people. I know other reviewers had concerns about the service and honestly had no problems ordering food from the older gentleman.

Would I order again? Yes! Big portion size and delicious food! Will order again!

The food is 10/10, you will not get a better bang for your buck than yummy bbq. For those of you who want Korean bbq with an a la carte preference and superior flavour yummy is where it’s at!

Also for those below who have issues with the man working at the front in the reviews below, I have gotten to know him more every time I come to yummys, he’s just old school tough but he’s actually a very sweet kind man, don’t be intimidated by his demeanour, get to know him and he’ll be apart of the experience you go to yummys for 🤣

I recently visited this establishment, and unfortunately, it was far from a pleasant experience. The cashier was astonishingly rude, treating me and other customers with visible impatience and disdain. It was clear they were in a bad mood, which seemed to set the tone for the entire visit.

Adding to the discomfort, the cashier appeared to be unwell. This not only raised concerns about hygiene but also contributed to the overall negative atmosphere. It’s understandable that people get sick, but if someone is visibly unwell and unable to interact politely with customers, perhaps they shouldn’t be on the front line of service that day.

As for the food, it was mediocre at best. The flavors were bland, and the presentation left much to be desired. I was hoping for a meal that would make up for the poor service, but it fell short in every way. This experience was deeply disappointing, and I won’t be returning anytime soon. A little care and attention to both customer service and food quality could go a long way here.

LOL nice come back, definitely made my day very demure, very mindful 😂😂😂
