If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered two spicy bone soups and picked favourite items from the open fridge, mostly tripe and seafood. I had the exact same soup before and it was great. This time, I had my soups to go. When I got home, to my surprise they had mixed up my orders. One of the soups had three purple vegetables inside and two spinach leaves which I had not chosen and the other soup was missing the fried meat pieces entirely. I called and they refunded the smaller soup which I thought was fine. My mother and I tried our soups and thought they tasted a bit funny, but didn’t think anything of it as the garlic and spices covered up the overall smell. To our surprise, we soon discovered some of the choice items were not only stale but had turned bad. The seafood and tripe had a bad, rotten smell and the octopus was almost liquid, like jelly. Even though we only had a few spoonfuls, we both felt very sick and spent the rest of the evening vomiting. I’m not sure if we had food poisoning as neither of us wanted to spend the whole night in a hospital waiting room.

The broth here is truly outstanding—flavorful, rich, and packed with the kind of bold, spicy taste you’d expect from a top-tier Chinese hotpot. It's definitely one of the highlights and what makes the meal satisfying overall.

However, cleanliness is where this place falls short. There were visible areas that felt unkempt, and some tables and floors didn’t seem to be cleaned properly between guests. For a restaurant serving hotpot—which can get a bit messy by nature—hygiene and proper cleaning should be a higher priority.

If they improve on the sanitation and overall tidiness, this place could easily be a solid 5-star experience. Great flavor, but please keep things more clean and presentable!

This place has always been my go-to malatang spot, and the staff are usually super nice — but today was a whole different story. I brought my friend because I love this place, and honestly, I was embarrassed by the service.

The guy with the black glasses and an AirPod in his ear was really rude. When we came in, seats were almost full, so I asked if we could sit at the table he was cleaning. He didn’t even answer — just nodded without saying anything.

When I went to pay, he pulled the tongs out of my bowl and threw them to the side. It made a loud noise, and I have no idea why he was so annoyed or why he had to do that right in front of me.

When he asked me about garlic, sesame paste, etc., he talked so quietly and so fast that I couldn’t understand a single thing. My friend also said he basically tossed the payment machine at her when she was trying to pay. The owner should seriously consider letting this employee go — his attitude doesn’t match this place at all. I come here often and order a lot on Uber too, and I’ve never seen anything like this.

He was also slamming the fridge door when picking up orders and acting like he was about to break everything. If he hates working that much, maybe he just shouldn’t show up. I don’t get why he would act like that in front of customers.

I’m honestly telling my friends not to go because of how disrespectful he was. I really hope he’s not here the next time I come.

Best malatang I’ve tried in Canada. The beef soup is absolutely spot on — rich, creamy and tastes like it’s made with real milk. The meats and vegetables are fresh, portions are generous, and everything is cooked just right. The price is a little on the high side, but the quality definitely makes it worth it.

I like the food, but the staff who work there are not kind. I am really disappointed specifically with a young guy who wears the glasses, the way he talks and expresses his face like annoying all the time 🤬. We go to support ur business not begging for free. Please be nice .

The restaurant has to be one of the dirtiest ones around this area, can use a good deep cleaning.
Fruit flies had infested the dip making station. A little attentive staff would also help this place

If you’re craving authentic, flavorful malatang, this place is an absolute must-visit! The ingredients are fresh and lots of variety to choose from— you can pick your own toppings and your broth. This is the best malatang I’ve ever had, and I can’t recommend it enough!

We love their selections. Lots of vegetables, noodles, meats and fishballs you can choose from.
The bone broth is very tasty, they have a small sauce/condiment counter for you to add some flavours to the soup.
Price is determined by weights.
