We fell for all those glowing five-star reviews and decided to give this place a try a few weeks back. But as a Shanghainese native, I must say, the food here was a huge letdown. The Xiao Long Bao might as well have come straight out of a freezer aisle, and the Picked Vegetable & Shredded Pork Noodle Soup had this strange sweet flavour that made it downright unappetizing. The Salty Pork Vegetable Rice arrived greasy and parched, completely missing the mark in terms of authenticity. The flavour of the Spring Rolls (with mushroom and carrot filling) didn't sit right and ranked among the worst we've tasted. The rest of the food was not memorable, leaving us with a feeling of regret for setting foot in this place.The subpar service only served to compound our already disappointing dining experience, ensuring that we won't be coming back. Simple requests as basic as providing water were met with a disdainful attitude, demonstrating a lack of respect from the staff and just reflecting poorly on this place as a whole.I don't usually bother leaving negative reviews, but seriously, if you're craving authentic Shanghai cuisine, steer clear of this place.

Please save your money and go somewhere else if you want good, authentic asian food. I was initially fooled by the reviews of this place.The place is marketed to be authentic, gourmet asian food, the place itself was nice and in a great location, upon seating, they were understaffed and servers seemed to ignore us as they were busy with other customers, and when we asked for basic things, stuff like water, soy sauce, condiments having our orders taken, we were surprised at how long it took each step. When the food arrived late, it was bland, and I mean bland, like almost no flavour at all. I am doing a review to warn others from coming here, as I was disappointed by everything here, the time, money and energy put into being here was a waste. The rest of the food was not memorable or even terrible. And yet they charge hefty prices for terrible food, the quality of ingredients and preparation was not there and the service was terrible. Would not recommend.
