Verace Italian Restaurant

My experience at Verace was very disappointing. The food was amazing but the service was terrible. Our waitress Mavis was rude, rushing every interaction, and overall did not make us feel welcomed. She forgot to give us bread that came with our appetizer and when she realized she just said “oops I forgot the bread” then when she came with the bread she didn't give us plates so we had to eat over the table... I couldn't even ask her for anything because she was quickly walking away before I could say a word. I wouldn't say this place is bad overall I think we just had a bad experience with one person.

Warm, friendly, relaxed, sophisticated / upscale. Overall very good to excellent. Have already booked next reservation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Birthday Dinner at Verace! We had an absolutely amazing night at Verace celebrating my wife's birthday, and everything was just perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and inviting — the kind of place that makes any evening feel special. Our server, Mavis, was outstanding! She was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. She took great care of us and made sure every detail was spot on. The food... wow! Every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality and passion in every bite. From the appetizers to the main course and dessert, everything was flawless. They even surprised my wife with a lovely birthday touch that made the night extra special — such a thoughtful gesture! Thank you, Verace, and a big thank-you to Mavis for making the evening unforgettable. We'll definitely be coming back soon! Highly recommend this place for any special occasion or just a fantastic meal out.

I have to give a big shout-out to the chef who made the Rustica pizza for us. As an experienced reviewer, I found this pizza truly exceptional. The right amount of salt, oil, cheese, meat, and a smoked flavor was on point. The combination of this pizza with the Italian beer that they offer, along with the cheese board, truly made the culinary experience memorable.

I ordered sea food pasta and requested to have white creamy sauce instead of the red sauce. It came with olive oil, garlic and white wine sauce. I expected this to be removed from the bill or get complimentary dessert to rectify this but no, was only offered to have white sauce on the side when packing it to go as everyone finished their meal and I didn't get to enjoy mine.

Not the best Italian I've had, but decent. The server was cold and unwelcoming. Must be typical at this place based on other reviews. The calamari appetizer was overpriced for the volume and quality. The lobster tail pasta was very good and would recommend it. Bar service was slow.

We went to Verace with friends to celebrate our anniversary. The service was exemplary. Our waiter was super friendly and looked after us so well. The food was delicious particulary their ceasar salad which I think is the best in the City and desert was amazing. My pasta dish was so good. One of my favourite restaurants!

We have been to Verace many times in the past. Something has changed. Our food was tasteless, basic and felt no more than prepackaged food (calamari) when we sent back our plates with food still on and asked if we liked it we were honest and told our waitress that the food was not very good tonight. She said she would tell the manager. No manager ever came to speak to us or try to rectify the situation. We were offered a free gelato. Which we declined. When my husband asked if the chef had changed she told us there was no chef working so not sure who was preparing the food. Sadly this experience has left us in a position to not return again. Almost $300 for the two of us without alcohol and it was awful all around

My 3hd visit this year, and as in the past, I was not disappointed From the first greeting, to our server, our delicious salad and simply out of this world tasty pasta dishes, the experience was perfect. I know I will return, and so will my guess based on her favourable comments about discovering Verace in Oakville! Thank you for the wonderful experience, and bravo to all involved.

Unexpected patio seating for end of September but the warm weather made up for it. Great food and wine recommendation.

It was my friends and I first time here, we were sadly disappointed. It wasn't terrible but also not an experience worth trying and we probably won't go back. The food was under seasoned so it lacked flavor and our server was not around when we needed her. We weren't checked on to ask if we needed anything. I thought everyone was kind and lovely though when we were attended to, it just was unfortunately not the experience we hoped for.

Sat on the side patio. Took at least 20 minutes before we got sparkling water and and more than 1/2 hour before we got wine and cocktail. Caesar salad was good, spaghetti con vongole was good , both unremarkable. Focaccia bread and olive oil and balsamic was very good. Planned to try dessert but waited so long we gave up and went next door for gelato. Place did not appear to be very busy ( we sat down ant 5:30). Uninspired....

Great food. ( the beet salad and bruschetta were tasty and the lobster scallop spaghetti was fabulous. Aurora was a wonderful waiter. - excellent guidance re wine too! We will be back!

Food & ambience were amazing. Server was not the best. Did the minimum required, not friendly at all.

Its a cute spot in the prime location in Oakville. Love the patio and the food is always great. There was a bit of a hiccup this visit but usually its a great place to eat at
