Absolutely fabulous dinner at Picnic on Friday evening. Beautiful, fresh oysters and the most tender octopus I've ever had! The fois gras was to die for and the beef croquettes were also excellent. Service was exceptional. Will definitely be back!
What a gem!! Not a huge menu but it's packed with delicious options for any palate. The octopus was one of the best cooked/seasoned I've ever had!! Scallop ceviche with salty corn chips...mmmmm, yummay!! Manchego, melted over pan fried mushrooms on a sweet sourdough with an amazing creamy paste. Fresh oysters/caviar, local beer selection, vast choice of great Ontario wines and some really unique cocktails!! So much more we didn't try yet. Best of all, service...
Nice decor, ambiance, great Playlist, lighting on point, tableware unique and well thought out. Service pleasant, wine was good. 1/2 price oysters were properly cleaned and shucked, flavourful, a bit small in some cases. House bread and cheese were nice. Patatas Bravas was 12/10; amazing crisp on the exterior, fluffy well seasoned inside, bravas sauce amazing! Will recommend and return forsure.
