Poutinerie La Belle Province

For over 10 years now, La Belle has consistently made me fantastic poutines. I'll get a few every year and the quality has never once dropped, not sure if there was ever room for improvement! Portion sizing is excellent and the staff are very friendly. If you're in the east end of Ottawa , this is your poutine stop!

Food was good but the customer service was rough!

When I got there, I saw they don’t take credit so I had to leave and come back with cash (no big deal). When I came back I ordered a large poutine and a drink. It came to just under $25 so I handed her the cash and asked why so much for a poutine and a drink. She pointed at the sizes behind the counter that I didn’t notice from my POV, The large is huge, family-sized so I said “oh shoot, could I order a smaller combo instead?”
She closed her eyes and put her hands out for a moment, almost like she needed to calm herself down after my question. I waited a moment and went “…or if you can’t then..” and she told me no, gave me my change, then put the order in for the large to the kitchen guys.

Poutine was pretty good but obvious way too much for just me and more than I wanted to spend. Super poor and awkward experience lol

The food was so oily, I couldn’t hold my sandwich, submarine steak sandwich.
Fries has bitter taste.

I drove 30 minutes for a poutine. It did not disappoint!
Excellent. Hot fries, delicious sauce, ample cheese. Perfect

Today was the first time I experienced their “second supplier” for cheese (confirmed with staff).

The poutine was disappointing as the cheese was stretchy & gooey - not squeaky as usual.

A very long drive and expensive meal for runner-up cheese.

Avoid going here if you’re expecting Montreal style poutine.

The staff doesnt even know their menu. Can never get an order right. Happened 3 times in a row...

Picked up an order tonight. Has been awhile since I have ordered from here. Like everywhere else prices have gone up, food portion has been reduced. However I was at the counter to pay & pick up my order & observed the staff. All the kids working with food had NO gloves on theur hands. I observed one kid(staff) pushing food into the takeout container to fit it all in with his fingers. Next I observed same kid walking around with raw hotdog in his hand, no gloves,. I do not believe he had time to wash his hands between orders. I believe that is unsanitary.
I have concerns about people handling different foods without changing gloves. It seems to me that is similar to a doctor going from patient to patient, without changing gloves or washing hands

Never disappoints,food is always freshly prepared, always great,have tried everything on their menu ,the Philly steak sub is the best. Prices are cheaper than anywhere the fries are great

Really mean workers told my son to eat politely and she has an attitude, the old one. The food is disgusting and it’s really expensive

We had placed an order through Door Dash so atmosphere and service we had to leave blank.
However our order was a Steak Sub with a Family size fries. To start the fries were well cooked and seasoned to perfection. The portion was much bigger than we anticipated (= to another restaurant that gives you a huge amount of fries in a large bag) so much so we will be having them again tomorrow, and probably the day after.
Now the sub. The meat was seasoned to the point we thought it was donair meat and not steak (not complaining at all), so good. Very generous amount of meat (stuffed was the term used) with just the right amount of veggies for balance. It was an absolute hit.
We are looking forward to trying more items from their menu in the future and not just their poutine. Sorry no photos it was a long day and we were famished.
Well done to the evening Team on 9 Sept, because of you we will be returning customers.
