I adore this place. This is by far our favourite sushi restaurant in all of Ottawa. The quality is top tier. The staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful. The only reason why I don’t give a 5 star review is because there is no changing table in their bathrooms and no booster seat for young children. However, I understand families might not be the targeted clientele. We had a lovely time with our baby but we would have certainly stayed longer and ordered more if we didn’t have to change him on the parking lot. Hopefully a changing table and a few booster seats are somethings the owners will consider investing in the future as we’d love to keep coming back.

Food is always great, service always disappoints a little, checking out shouldn’t take 30 minutes past when we’re done eating, but that’s been the case since before 2019 and we still keep coming back

Everything was very good. I have two issues. Number one I think when you're six people, that is not a large group, and you should not be charged the large group gratuity I was flabbergasted with this and not happy. Second, in the last ten years.I have never been to a restaurant that doesn't give free rirefills on pop.

Edited for reply: thanks for your explanation but you're forgetting that tips are optional and at the discretion of the customer and should not be forced. Pay your staff properly.
Forced group tip on a table of 2?! The food was great, service was slow but they only had one waitress for all the tables which were full, even though there was someone behind the counter who could have assisted her. We had 2 gift cards that we wanted to use and when she brought us our bill, I was shocked to see how much it was even with the gift cards applied. I was told that to use a gift card, they add the group tip to the bill. I was not impressed by this as we were 2 people and our bill was almost $200 (we wanted to indulge!!) Not only were we forced to pay for a group tip on a table of 2, but they calculated the tip with the tax amount included and wouldn't change it. The waitress couldn't properly explain the reason for this, and no one came out to help her. We were told it was the only way to active the cards?! We left feeling ripped off.

I had a really good experience here. The food was fresh and tasted great, and the service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was nice and made it a good place to relax and enjoy a meal. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to others.

Foods are okay. A bit over priced. The all you can eat event has adult price only. Even your 5 years old kid need to pay $40. You can feel they did some work on food, but in the way to serve you cheap things in a fancy format so they can charge more. Over all, 3 Stars, maybe 2 if the restaurant is packed.

We used to like this place but we were disapointed the last few times we had Soulstone. It's not the service. We always had great service. It's the food. It's just not that good for the price they charge.

Great sushi! The sushi here isn’t comparable to other places; it’s fresh and flavorful! The restaurant itself is warm and inviting while the staff is super friendly. Definitely one of the best sushi restaurant out there!

Waited over 30 minutes to have someone come over and offer any kind of service, we decided to up and leave.

We had an unfortunate lunch experience here, for the all you can eat. At first our service was efficient and our rounds came out very efficiently. When you do the lunch time ayce, you get three rounds.
After a large table arrived, the poor server was being run off of his feet. It ended up being over 45 minutes before we were able to ask about our order. At first we asked to simply had it made so we could leave, and he replied that we’d have to pay extra. We noted it had been 45 minutes since our last food had arrived, despite other tables receiving food.
We overheard another table express a similar complaint - their version was cancel what was in, we’re leaving.
Our three rolls came out and again, we had to ask for the rest of the order.

Very frustrating as this could’ve been prevented with proper staffing. Don’t know if we’ll come back after such a disappointing experience.
