We got to Aahar about 2:40pm. They were closed and prepping for a function in the evening. When the owner heard that we were from out of town and had come to Ottawa for an appointment at the hospital, she kindly asked us to come in and she would serve us. The food was delicious, and my mom enjoyed the vegetable pakora and authentic chutneys. Thank you Aunty for your hospitality, delicious food, and the extra chutney you offered to take home. You saved us from looking for another place to eat before our trip back home.

I called in to place an order today for Navratan Korma which on the menu is a vegetarian item. My husband did the pick up and assumed he was picking up what I had ordered. When he got home I noticed this intact is not navratan korma and DOES have meat in it. This meal had to go in the garbage as we are all the way in barrhaven and not close to Alta vista at all. I tried calling 17 times (please see photo attached) in order to rectify this but it keeps going to voicemail. I’m very disappointed to say the least and what a waste of money for this meal.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The starters were served cold, the parathas were not properly filled — there was barely any stuffing inside, which was quite frustrating considering the price. I hope the restaurant improves its food preparation.

Omg… the food was so yummmmm.. but more than that the way the beautiful girl Monika greeted with a wide smile made it more memorable. Everything was so wonderful food, atmosphere . From the server’s HELLO TO HAVE A GOOD ONE🌸 I’ll go there soon nd Monika keep that smile ON always.

Aahar, they never disappoint. The staff is friendly and you are always greeted with a smile when you Dine in or pick up. I ate again here tonight and was so happy with the portions, flavours were on point and service was excellent. So happy to go back again.

We went for supper on Valentine's day. It wasn't our first time there and again the food was amazing, the service was great and we were not disappointed. I even got a rose when we left. Monica was joyful and responsive. A good evening overall. Highly recommended.

A perfect place for an awesome quick lunch buffet, in and out in about 30-35 min. The naan and butter chicken was wonderful and everything was fresh.

Best indian food in ottawa

Been here a few times with my family, and it's always great! Service is wonderful, and literally everything we've tried has been delicious (except the weird salty lemonade... wouldn't recommend that!) Definitely one of our favourite places!

I ordered Nizami murgh dish, this is the 3rd time I ordered through uber eats. 1st time the dish had all white meat(this is my choice of meat) I had called and checked and then placed the order. Dish was all good first time. I ordered again and this time and it had only 2pieces of white meat rest all dark meat. 3rd time ordered and all dark meat. This restaurant has no fixed set of preparing a dish. Watever is available they send it and this time the gravy also had small bone pieces in it. Very disappointing
