November 1st, Halloween night - We were going inside, until they attempted to charge us a fee at the door. No lines, not many people trying to get in, and our friends came 30 minutes (group is gender mixed) after free of entry when I decided to go back with a loved one. Don’t recommend this place, better options in surrounding area! Clearly biased when it comes to letting people in.

I had duck wings and several drinks at Back to Brooklyn, and had an excellent time. The duck was superb. The staff were friendly, engaging, and fun. I tried several excellent cocktails at their recommendation. I was there for dinner, but clearly after 10 o'clock is when the party starts. A whole other vibe. I did not stay to see the 'Latin ladies night' theme that Thursday, but I was assured it can be 'fun' and 'rowdy'. A very classy place with an upscale vibe; while also being very welcoming. An excellent evening out in Ottawa.

Should hire some more competent workers on weekends, hire ones whom avoid favouritism amongst clients. Especially the young boy with the glasses, he told others to follow his lead when it was addressed and to ignore anyone (which multiple people commented) on his demeanour.
Would not recommend for anyone above 19 years old looking.

Went here years ago and finally can leave a review. I went here when they were newer so management and servers may be different by now but the wait was long, other customers were getting served and food before us despite coming in much later then us and even gave our food to the wrong table. Staff was not attentive at all. The food and drinks were good though. The place is aesthetic but the vibe wasn’t comfy enough to actually enjoy, be myself and take pictures as most people do these days. The fact I still think about it highlights how bad it was. Have never been here since and hope things have changed!

Someone stole my boyfriend's wallet out of his pocket and they don’t have a camera inside, bad service and they didn't even try to help us. Sketchy! We were there for at least 15 minutes and everything happened so fast, terrible kind of people who go there to steal.

I was in Ottawa for five days and visited Back to Brooklyn twice. The food (small plates) was wonderful and the drinks, in particular the spicy passion fruit margaritas, were delicious! It was the first cocktail I ever liked. In addition, the staff were super friendly and made great recommendations! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I hadn’t been to Back to Brooklyn in a while, but yesterday my girlfriends and I decided to stop by and we’re so glad we did! We had the pleasure of meeting Demie, and she was an absolute ray of sunshine. So informative, so warm, and full of positive energy. Her beautiful attitude truly encouraged us to stay for the afternoon.
The sangria pitchers were amazing, and even though Demie wasn’t our waitress , she kept checking in on us the entire time to make sure we were having fun and doing well. It was hands down the best service we’ve had in a long time. Demie really made our day thank you for such a memorable experience! :)
