Not only was the food excellent, the atmosphere was warm and comfortable, the host was exceedingly hospitable, leaving his table to attend to us. Our server was so polite, charming and accommodating. The service was excellent. Everything was freshly made. We felt so welcomed.

No pics of the Pillows app, but they are delicious. The mushroom and leek pizza is delicious (pic included) while the Chicken Bread Pot was a bit on the salty side, but everything else on the plate was delicious.

Great find. The food service and ambiance were all great. My wife said that it was the best pizza that she has ever eaten- and we live in New York.

We had to wait over an hour for our food, our salad order was not taken either and was forgotten. The food was not very tasty either. Would not recommend.

Went last night and was charmed by the owner, server and food! The restaurant is very lovely with beautiful jazz and blues background music. We had the shrimp skewers for our starters. They were perfection. The Canadian pizza was made right beside us in the wood oven and was delicious. We were made to feel very welcomed. Looking forward to returning soon. It’s just a great place!!

Really delicious food and great staff! We had some delicious pizza and pasta to share, everything was so full of flavour. The restaurant also has such a cozy and welcoming vibe. Can't wait to return!

Shoutout to the chef, the server, and the owner. This has become our favorite spot in Ottawa so far — incredibly delicious, fresh, and simply fantastic!

The food was excellent. We bought some calamari, chicken marsala, carbonara and a pizza. All of the food was terrific 💯

Good food, lovely place and raisonnably priced menu. Service was slow but looks like they were short staff! The server was polite, knew the food and very busy

From the moment we arrived, the service left a lot to be desired. For a place that presents itself as upscale, we were simply pointed to our table and told to seat ourselves. It took over 40 minutes just to get water, and our server mostly ignored us despite not appearing to have many other tables. As for the food—it was deeply disappointing. My steak was mediocre at best, and the bread cheese bowl appetizer turned out to be an overwhelmingly salty mess. My partner's “burger” was also far too salty; I'm not sure if that's typical of the cuisine, but it really wasn't enjoyable—and this is coming from someone who usually loves salty food. Overall, it felt severely overpriced given the poor service and subpar food. I wouldn't come back, despite the glowing reviews I'd seen beforehand.

Very delightful little place. Excellent service and fabulous food. Everyone absolutely has to try the garlic bread - not your typical Italian garlic bread - it was incredible. I wish I'd ordered two more plates :). The pizza was a delicious thin-crust creation.

The food and service were both amazing. It started raining sideways suddenly, and we were quickly moved inside with no fuss at all. This was an awesome hidden gem discovery to make on Canada Day, I'm looking forward to coming back.

After the closing of several of our other favourite restaurants, the search was on for new ones. Bistro Ristoro has made it to the top of the list. If you like Mediterranean style dishes, this place is definitely worth trying. The wine and cocktails are also very good. Slightly off the beaten path for the market, but worth checking out.
