The food and service were both amazing. It started raining sideways suddenly, and we were quickly moved inside with no fuss at all. This was an awesome hidden gem discovery to make on Canada Day, I'm looking forward to coming back.

After the closing of several of our other favourite restaurants, the search was on for new ones. Bistro Ristoro has made it to the top of the list. If you like Mediterranean style dishes, this place is definitely worth trying. The wine and cocktails are also very good. Slightly off the beaten path for the market, but worth checking out.

It's a pizza restaurant with lots of variety, and other Italian dishes offered. Wine menu was small but a good selection. It was a quiet night at 6pm, perhaps it picks up on other nights/times. Liked the service and the food was very good...thin crust fire oven baked is my favourite. The restaurant is on the small side but well furnished and seemed just right for the two of us. Not sure how long this restaurant has been open, but from what I observed it could turn out to be a hot spot for Italian food at reasonable prices.

It felt like a hidden gem right in the heart of ByWard Market. As for the food—simply outstanding. My friend ordered the calzone pizza, which was perfectly baked with a golden, crispy crust and a rich, flavorful filling. It was cheesy, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. I had the cheeseburger-pljeskavitza. Juicy, well-seasoned, and full of smoky, grilled flavour, it came with crisp fries (you can have salad with it too) and a sauce that pulled everything together. It is the burger with a Balkan twist that makes it so special. From start to finish, Bistro Ristoro delivered on every level: delicious food, warm hospitality, and a truly memorable experience. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. This place deserves all the praise—and then some.

A warm welcome on a cold night and a cozy atmosphere. The pizzas we ordered were very good and the wines excellent value for the price. Service was excellent and the ambience very pleasant. All in all, Bistro Ristoro offers a very pleasant dining experience at an affordable price.

Unfortunately our visit was during a snow storm and foot traffic was minimal. We walked from our hotel and were the only people until another gentleman arrived. Our meals were good but my husband pizza had an odd taste. The crust was wonderful. I had the carbonara pasta, it was delicious. Wine selection was ok.
Greeted warmly. Server was knowledgable and friendly. Food was flavourful. Delicious appetizers. Excellent pizza. Sauces and toppings perfectly proportioned. Lovely atmosphere continue to return.

From a variety of choices, including wood burning pizza, European style burger and many more. Service is great, very hospitable and welcoming staff. Definitely one of my go to.
