The staff is just incredible. They are helpful, kind and generous. Drinks and food are delicious, with great pasty options (try the Cherry Lemon loaf) and all-star café drinks. But the staff is what makes this location and place worth the visit. Awesome patio as well.
The coffee and pastries are always amazing.It’s a comfortable place to read, work, and relax, but the staff can be inattentive and distracted with each other.3 employees behind the bar who are openly criticizing a manager (who isn’t present), loud enough for everyone seated to hear, all while an elderly woman in line is waiting for her coffee.I realize that’s probably an isolated situation, but people were clearly made a little uncomfortable.
Normally go to Happy Goat as its closer to home for me. But realized today that this Bridgehead has such a lovely atmosphere and SO many more options for food. Also, the flat white was delicious! Will be coming here for now on.
