Great food! We ordered the meat platter for the family and it was just the right amount. Lamb, beef, chicken and tons of spreads, salads, and side dishes. 9/10 on the flavour side and genuinely lovely staff.

We went to Fairouz Cafe for our anniversary dinner, and it was a great experience. We ordered the beef skewer, and it was cooked to perfection. I was expecting smaller portions due to the fine dining environment, but the food was well-portioned and very filling. The lady serving us was energetic and efficient. I forgot her name, but her service was excellent! I loved that they explained exactly how each dish was made. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend this place.
Dietary restrictions: Halal was available.

A good place to go for professional dinners for large groups (20 people) with various dietary needs (vegan, gluten free etc). Seemed to be understaffed which led to a few issues with understanding what we were getting with the set 3-course menu.

Nice place , super clean and friendly staff !
The spices overpowered the taste of all the dishes. From the baba ghannouj all the way to the meat platter ( which we found a little overpriced at 100$) for what came on it !

This was one on the few good restaurants in Ottawa. Unfortunately, they changed the menu and the ingredients quality dropped so dramatically that it doesn't even measure up to most of middle eastern fast-food restaurants in Ottawa. We ordered the meat platter. Other than chicken (which was bearly decent but definitely not worth the price tag) and mohammara (appetizer) which was good, we couldn't finish the rest of the meat (lamb and beef kofteh) as it was dry, overcooked and tasteless. The tabbouleh was saggy with a very unpleasant taste. Same for the labneh that tasted like cheap supermarket cheese.
Extremely disappointing.

Our meal at Cafe Fairouz was delicious! Everything was good but my favorites are the fried halloumi and the Brussels sprouts dish. I enjoyed myself.

Food was good, not spectacular. The Pides and Dips are great, everything else was average. Service was below par, our server forgot to bring multiple things and took forever to circle back to our table, even after the restaurant had quieted down. For the value of fine dining, the overall experience left wanting.
We were a party of 4. We wanted a good place for a business dinner. It was the perfect accommodation for us. We order many different item to share between the 4 of us. I am fairly new to middle eastern cuisine so it was a discovery. Everything was on point and the waiter explained every dish with passion :)
We all enjoyed our experience.

The meat lamb kabobs were so disgusting.
It smelled so fishy, I almost barfed. We had to stop eating and left

Limited menu and expensive, not so tasty Med food. Had Labene and Chicken and both below par comparing to a simple traditional Med food restaurant. Dark setting, however friendly staff.
The food here is delicious and very high quality. Great spot for a fancy dinner out to celebrate a special occasion. They were very knowledgeable of their menu and ingredients and were able to provide me a gluten free meal without any issues. Great spot if you are celiac.
Went for an early dinner on Saturday Aug 24. Our server was super courteous. Made some excellent recommendations for drinks and dessert.
We tried the truffle babaganoush which really earthy and tasty with the fresh baked mini pita
We tried the harissa shrimp and savoured every bite
The lamb skewer dish was very well cooked. I have never before had a melt in your mouth kind of lamb
Beef lahmajoun pide was over flowing with perfectly spiced ground beef
And the ashta brûlée dessert was simply out of this world. My husband and I ordered one to share but it was so good we ordered another one and practically locked the plate clean.
Kudos to the chef and our server for really making this dinner a great experience for us

The food was very good - unique dish and flavours. However the service was slow. It took 30 mins for our first cocktails to come and sat for nearly 20 minutes waiting for the machine after the bill was brought. If the service was improved my rating would be much higher. Poor service really takes away from the experience.
Rude staff,
Constant rush,
The food, just not Lebanese enough.
