Once it approaches 5pm, there is a specific girl barista there who refuses to give out any mugs or plates because she says that they close at 7pm and therefore they can’t give out any plates or mugs since they will need to wash them which is ridiculous. It didn’t happen once or twice. I went there 5 times and ever since this specific lady (usually wears a bun) started serving us, she would never ever give out mugs or plates. If I wanted to eat a cheesecake in a takeout box, I wouldn’t be dining in.

Good coffee. Too bad the floor is very often dirty, the tables not very clean either and the windows very dirty.

WTF! Is this racism? Or this person was just having a bad day and we were just in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Qe were visiting Ottawa from Toronto, we needed a place to finish up some work before hitting the road. FIGARIO Cafe was recommened by a friend. For the most part the staff seem OK, nothing special. It was a Nice hot day, so we decided to grab a table outside, since all tables on the inside was already taken. Sipping on Chai latte and answering a few emails. The experience was completely ruined once power and previledge showed up in the form of white woman in a red car. She just started huffing and puffing, she proceeded to scold us because of where we were seated. Now, no one corrected us to say we could not sit in the shade area off to the side, paved with patio stones, adorned with small table and 2 chairs. Perfect, since sitting in the 31 degree 2pm sun might not have been comfortable or smart thing to do. Wow! You would think we were uninvited guest in this woman's house. Just BAD ATTITUDE. Lady remember, there is always a kind and caring way to address people, customer or not. Projecting your bad negative attitude and talking down to others is not cool. NOTE to all: If you are in Sandy Hill area and looking for Good Latte and nice atmosphere, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. We will share our experience with our friend and will not be returning. Customer Service is Dead.

I desperately want to give this place 5 stars, i absolutely love their baked goods and their coffee. The atmosphere is incredible an amazing place to study. However, the only thing this place lacks is customer service. The workers tend to be very rude almost every time I go in. It’s not just my experiences alone i’ve also witnessed staff roll their eyes to each other about indecisive customers or customers that ask questions about the menu or items.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no ramps or anything blocking the doorway, there is a good amount of distance between tables for wheelchairs to maneuver throughout the cafe. Not a lot of handicap parking however, there is very limited parking in the area causing the accessible spot to be used or blocked through the busy times of day.

Staff aren't very attentive, atmosphere is sparse and the coffee is nothing to write home about.

Cute little coffeeshop conveniently located in Sandy Hill just steps from U of O. Though on busy Laurier St., it is a peaceful oasis with friendly (but not overly so) staff, nice background music, and plenty of tables and seating (including outdoor tables) comfortably spaced apart. Nice vibe, great baked goods (try the almondine), and of course excellent coffee.

This cafe is a cute and cozy spot with friendly and knowledgeable staff who are happy to help you choose a drink. Their matcha latte and chai latte are both delicious. I've enjoyed both dining in and getting my order to go. The ambiance and hygiene standards are great. However, the cappuccino and latte taste quite similar, and the breakfast wrap can be a bit watery. While the coffee is excellent and the food looks appetizing, the atmosphere and staff energy can be a bit off-putting at times.

The took 18$ away from me and they didn’t accept it, so i told them to check the cameras and they didn’t want to do it.
