My dad and I visited Manotick for a day trip from Ottawa and stopped here for the first time. The gentleman (owner) was extremely friendly and pleasant to chat with, and when he found out we were first timers he offered us a little freebie which was a wonderful surprise. You could really tell he was just oozing pride in his creations, from which there were many to choose. We purchased some gingerbread and several buttertarts, including a brand new pineapple flavour- the very first batch they'd attempted, fresh out of the oven. It was incredible and I can't wait to eat the rest of the flavours too! Will definitely be back any time I feel like going for a drive to get a sweet treat.

What a treat to stop by this place for ice cream ! We left with butter tarts, ice cream and a muffin. All were amazing and the people working there (owners?) were so nice. Do yourself a favour and stop by.

This not-so-hidden gem in Manotick has been a favourite spot for my kids and I for many years. Like so many, we were saddened to hear of the fire that (temporarily) closed the business a couple of years ago. We really missed chatting with the owners and of course buying their amazing cookies and butter tarts. The old house smelled like happiness and joy. Fortunately they rebuilt, re-opened and the best smelling street in Manotick is back to normal. I can’t recommend the Gingerbread Man enough. The cookies and other treats are amazing and you can’t meet kinder, friendlier owners, they are so welcoming and lovely.
Very friendly owners and well maintained place. Delightful for the kids. And the ice cream is awesome.
