At the beginning the owner treated us with a very nice glass of prosecco. Then we ordered a glass of red wine with their well known onion soup. The red wine was great but unfortunately the bone marrow on top of the soup smelled so strong and pungent and we were not able to have it and even it was hard to keep it beside the bowl of the soup since it had so unpleasant smell The onion soup itself was great. Food was an absolute 10/10, we had the steak frites on Thursday. Andrew's service was unmatched. He was extremely professional, kind, patient, and knowledgeable on every menu item. We will definitely be coming back.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday with dinner at Gitanes, and it was a reminder of why I love this restaurant.
The evening began with a delightful cocktail, Nouveau Riche for my convive and a very dirty gin martini for moi, accompanied by a half dozen oysters with a mignonette that was so fresh and another accompanying sauce that was a rich miso.
