“I was craving shawarma and found this place on my way home from work. I'm new to Ottawa and my shawarma standards are high because my hometown has amazing shawarma that no other spots have come close to and I've tried many places already in Ottawa. Let me tell you, this place DID NOT DISSAPOINT! Amazing shawarma every bit of it! I will definitely be returning. The best I've had in Ottawa by FAR!“

“It is Halal. The staff are friendly and awesome. We requested the family meal and it was so delicious and fresh.

However the table chairs and toilet need to be renovated and cleaned.

I would recommend anyone looking for something similar to KFC but Halal to experience this restaurant.“

“My friends recommend this place to me and I drove from a long distance to try their fried chicken and it was really worth it, the chicken was so tender and very seasoned, good chunks of it too and none of those fake skins (flour dipped) from other chicken spots. Best fried chicken indeed and I really recommend it.Ps: the restaurant is always closed on Sundays as I was informed by cashier.“

“Kids love the halal pepperoni pizza. The dough is delicous.
I eat gluten free and always order a lettuce wrapped bun. The hamburger and all beef bacon are also halal. See Haddar if you want a lettuce wrapped burger or sandwich. He is aware of gluten allergies. We go here often for burgers and pizza. Strawberry shakes are good too.
Very decent prices.

“We ordered the family platter for 4. Halal bbq beef ribs and pulled beef were great. It is a largely self service place with disposable dishes and plates but glad the utensils were of steel. Also liked the corn bread.“

“I visited Amaya Express at Laurent Mall yesterday and had a really pleasant experience. I ordered the garlic naan with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. The naan was soft, warm, and had just the right amount of garlic, and the chicken was flavorful and well-cooked – a perfect combo!
What stood out even more was the staff – they were extremely polite, attentive, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. It's always nice to see good customer service paired with great food.
