I've stopped by here a few times to pick up goodies - the pastries here have been fantastic. A friend and I tested out the supreme croissants, which were a fun experience - delicious fillings. At a different date, I picked up an almond butter croissant that blew me away. I look forward to eventually trying out some of their Financiers. I have never stopped to hang out in the shop but it's a cute place and I love looking at the painting they have at the front of the shop...
The staff are super nice. We tried two kinds of macarons and their famous pistachios supreme croissant. The croissant was delicious but a bit expensive at $8. The macarons on the other hand were terrible. Both kinds of macarons (lemon poppyseed and crème brûlée) were stale and had an unpleasant aftertaste. We won’t be going back.
I started coming to this place because of this oriental pattisserie chef who made the best croissants (all kinds of it). They were out of this world. This weekend I came by and both days this master pattisier was not in the place. Regardless, I ordered croissants and both days they were not nice at all, in fact they were so dry and even burt (way past its baking time). A total different product but same price. I felt so short changed . I will cone back only when that dude who...
