Knowledgeable staff, decent gluten free selection. The GF pizza flour is amazing.

Best Italian Grocery store in the city and it’s not even close!

My family recently ordered catering from Il Negozio Nicastro for a memorial event. Salvatore was so great to work with as he helped us figure out the best options to order. We ended up with the perfect selection of items and just the right amount for the number of guests we expected. Sal's father delivered the items personally and was also so pleasant and friendly. Overall we received outstanding service from this traditional Italian family-owed place. And that's to say nothing of how much everyone enjoyed the delicious food on the day. Highly recommend for catered gatherings of all kinds! Thank you Nicastros!

Sam was amazing! We ordered pasta and meatballs for 50 people for a hockey tournament.
He was fantastic! The food was amazing and hot when we picked it up! Can’t say enough about this place! Highly recommend!!!!!

A very upscale look from their larger Merivale Road location. The staff is very friendly but they don't seem to carry nearly as much as they used to.

I was so satisfied with my experience. I was served by an experienced, helpful young man named Tom. He had a great smile on his face and made my day, a delicious sandwich and a wonderful English football fan!

Really cute, homey store with good vibe and fair prices. Lots of great pasta and cheese!

Best place for an aperitivo italian style . Today I had RICOTTA montata with a Peroni.
Last week the formaggio e salumi platter and a nice glass of Verdicchio .
A taste of Italy right in the heart of Ottawa

Nicastro used to be one of the nicer deli sandwiches in town. Now you drop $11 or $12 for something so thin you could likely feed it through a paper shredder without jamming it. Avoid.

Beautiful cheese… and other stuff. Lovely local shop with an impressive selection of cheese and knowledgeable and friendly staff.

I had a charcuterie board prepared for christmas Eve . I was very disappointed in size /quantity for the price . The gentleman that brought out the tray for me seemed embarrassed to present it. First and last time for me !!
