So glad Kasbah is open again. My wife and I have been coming here for over 18 years. We stopped by last week for some takeout, and learned the dining room is opening as well. The couscous is without equal, and the warm olive salad is not to be missed. Needless to say, the service is legendary.

I am a fan of Moroccan food and sometimes even seek it out but alas most attempts have been futile in North America as in almost all cases I found either the seasoning is off to appease the western palate or it's the western interpretation of Moroccan food. Either way it's wrong! The last attempt in Toronto was so bad that I decided I won't seek this cuisine unless it comes highly recommend. This spot met the recommended criteria. So with friends in tow we showed up. Had called in to reserve despite the pandemic as they are popular. I ordered the table d'houte and friend's ordered a tagine and couscous dish. They have the ambiance down right as apart from the decor they have the hospitality (more important) down pat. My first course was an appetizer with two filo based and some salad. The filo tend to be greasy but this was just right. Seasoned well and nice filling to dough ratio. Salad provided a nice contrast. The Kir Royale made this meal feel grand so would suggest that as well.For the main I chose royale couscous. Nice feast of contrasting flavors sweet, savory, umami you get the idea. Top marks here. Last course was dessert. Baklava was sweet but thankfully the honey evened out the sweet shock. I enjoyed my mint tea as well. A solid 4 stars and recommended if you like Moroccan food.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner last night and we were blown away with the quality of the food. The lamb date tagine was incredible, as was the chicken pastilla. The owner was extremely friendly and provided top notch table service. Would recommend for any of my friends looking for authentic Moroccan cuisine. Will be back!

Just finished eating the Kasbah Feast. It was sooooo tasty. Even as takeout, it looked beautiful. Very flavourful. Was given mint tea to go with it which is lovely as well.

Service and food are top notch. This place has staying power for a reason in a world of constantly changing restaurants downtown. Always a wonderful experience and meal - and truly allows you to step into another world away from the concrete jungle that surrounds this oasis.

Enjoyed the calm ambience in a noisy urban area and the food was exquisite; nicely spiced and amazing mixture of flavours. Service was excellent; I expected a bit larger portion of couscous.. The only reason I selected 4 stars. Will return.
