Everything was not good, food not well prepared, or food overcooked.

Being everyone you know here. Friends, family, Hinge dates - the atmosphere and food here will delight anyone.
The food was fresh and flavourful; good portions that left us feeling full but not uncomfortable.
There is a wide range of beers imported from Japan, as well as fun cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
You can even shop at the back for figurines, stickers, buttons, etc. from various anime!

Highway robbery.
Second time I've been in they've got my order wrong.
Order curry don, got kaarage don, it is what it is the first time around.
Second time I let the server know my order was wrong, she brought a side of curry then at the end of the meal charged me $8 for the side of curry rather than the extra 2 for the curry don.
Won't be back.

Kuidaore is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Ottawa. First I checked it out in 2022 and I had the Katsu Don, and it was good, but I haven’t gone back since then. Fast forward to 2026, I got back from my trip to Japan in November 2025 and within a week of being back home, I missed being in Japan, especially since I had the curry there and it was great. Having the curry today made me feel like I was back in Japan. It’s a bit on the expensive side ($26, not including tip and tax), but it’s definitely worth it for someone like me who misses everything in Japan. I definitely have to come back here, and back to Japan of course, but that’s for a whole different story. Finding parking is hit or miss, but if you want better parking, it’s better to pay for it down the street.

Kuidaore is hands down our favourite ramen place. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are always perfectly cooked, and the sides are consistently delicious. Everything tastes fresh and comforting every single time.
Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and food that never disappoints. Highly recommend!

I have gone here twice and look forward to returning. Japanese beers I have never seen anywhere in Canada before. Sake. Plum wine. And the food! Delicious. Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. I really enjoyed the ramen I had the first visit and ordered more the second time. The wasabi shrimp tempura is astounding. I highly recommend the flight of plum wines. Delicious.

Best ramen in Ontario! I lived in Japan for 5 years and I'm picky. I have zero complaints about this place, it's absolutely incredible and if you're thinking about coming please do.

Food was pretty good but I feel like the place should have some music on low volume for better ambiance

Went early on a Saturday--no wait, hostess was very sweet and attentive. Food arrived quickly, absolutely delicious! We shared an order of takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and chashu don. The okonomiyaki is a specialty item, and absolutely worth it! The store itself is lavishly decorated with posters and toys, many of which are for sale. They also run a seasonal Gachapon--you earn plays based on your bill total. Very fun, a wonderful place to gather with friends.
Aisle were wide enough to pass a walker through but there are steps leading up to the restaurant, music and lighting were mellow

Tried the veg gyoza ramen and curry don with tofu substitute. Food was okay. Service was a bit slow, although they were quite busy. Also they added the tip as default in the final price when paying, which was odd.

This is the most fun I've had in a while. We went there for my son's birthday and I watched him go from a adult to a child with all the anime themed displays and merchandise. Everywhere your eyes look, there's something new and the food is impeccable which makes it all worth it. The flight of sake allowed for a better to explore, where our experience was lacking. And when I mentioned it was my son's birthday, they made the effort extra effort to make something adorable and tasty for the occasion.
